Figured I'd start a general discussion for one of my favorite childhood toys. Said toys in question are Army Men.
They're cheap, plentiful, no-brand, and you can find them almost anywhere that sells toys. Army men are good for sandbox play, making your own wargames, setting up dioramas, or even blowing them up with firecrackers.
I loved Army Men as a kid and I also loved the soft plastic figures similar to Army Men, but with a different theme, such as Cowboys & Indians, which I had plenty of when I was a kid. I've also seen Knights, Pirates, Policemen, Spacemen, and even Ninjas at one point.
This website is a good reference for these types of toys, though it has a dated 90's look.
http://www.thortrains.net/armymen/TL;DR-Army Men and Toy Soldier general thread, also can include other cheap bag figures of similar type, such as the aforementioned Cowboys & Indians.
