I have both colored weapons sets and yeah, your mileage may vary on those. My AK set came out fairly decent, not the greatest pic here but the only one I have, I'd link the store but they don't seem to have those available anymore. The WW2 set I got had a couple botched paint apps but it was a cheap set and didn't bother me terribly. I got another AK set more recently in a pack that included UN helmets and vests and the paint apps were about the same as the first set.
I think most stores tend to have the same suppliers for their wares so it doesn't matter much where you buy them, I ordered some weapon 10-packs from two different places and they were packaged the exact same way. It's a different story where the big assortments are concerned, like here

Free shipping is attractive for the fiscally conservative but you'll be looking at probably a month's waiting time or more, with no tracking. Whenever possible I go for ePacket, it's a small fee but you get tracking and it does arrive faster (unless your national carrier is garbage... thanks Canada Post). Just make sure to check in your cart that shipping is automatically combined, some stores don't have that and you'll get a hefty shipping charge adding up.
