Unfortunately, upon placing the figure in the seat I found the second issue with him - namely that the molding on the back of his legs was extremely poor and the studs cannot properly push in. This may not be the case with all set editions though, and he can stand up just fine.

Second "set" comes from LOZ, a brick-built statuette of Miku Hatsune.

The first thing that jumped out at me on this is that the bricks are WEIRD. These are not standard Lego-ish bricks, and are about 50% smaller than normal bricks. However, they are exactly like Lego bricks in terms of locking, and thus are far more sturdy than the similarly-sized Nanobricks. I'm not sure why someone would create a ton of half-size bricks for this sort of thing, rather than just making them at normal size, but it made for an interesting build.

Instructions were well detailed, and thankfully each step actually included a list of the pieces involved in that step and their colors, something that many bootLego sets do not do (often leading to interesting times during construction when you realize that you missed a piece seven steps back).

The entire build was based off the good ol' SNOT (studs not on top) designs, with the face actually being two halves backed up to each other upside-down. There was a vague similarity to the BrickHeadz here, but only in small ways.

Miku herself ended up being rather cute, with a tiny bit of creepiness I suppose, but overall fun. I am somewhat disappointed that she ended up being made of these mini-Legos, as it means that the anime-eye pieces are not compatible with the rest of my collection.

A small base was constructed, complete with presents and a little christmas tree. The base is very sturdy, as was the statuette.

This image gives a good idea of how much smaller than normal bricks these were when compared to my non-meaty hand.

And Miku on the base. Again, you can see how small she was in the end. But the pieces hold together tightly, and I had no worries of her falling apart. Both legs can move separately, she can turn at the waist, both arms are moveable, and her head can turn, as well as some movement for her twintails.

One last note on Miku of surprise: she had a FUCKLOAD of extra parts. I'm used to bootLego having one extra minifig hand at best, so this was interesting to see, though certainly appreciated.

Last quick image, the other set that arrived just today was this one of Batman and Harley on bikes with Deadshot along for the ride, from Lepin's SUPER HEROES line. Sturdy build, and all stud-shooters work, so can't complain there.

This is the closest thing I can think of to what you're mentioning. They were odd pieces and the set only included a couple. These are sadly not compatible with Lego due to the size differences.

I can pretty confidently say that they won't be compatible.

On the left in this image are normal Legos. On the right, Miku spares. You can see just how much smaller the Miku pieces are, despite visually looking exactly like slightly smaller Legos.

You'd be surprised. Long ago, lego itself released a smaller system called modulex, and despite not being officially compatible, there are enough standard sizes in both systems that people figured out ways to connect them (pic related). There's probably at least one accidental match between the loz bricks and the lego ones.

Don't know what this guy's called, but I got the bootleg. Pretty good: The printing looks right and everything.

I think the molding may be slightly off on the sword blade. It seems to drop forward. It's also really bendy, more bendy than I remember Lego ones being. Again, pretty good for less than a buck.

Block Tech has a "Structures" theme which takes heavy inspiration from Lego Architecture but drastically slashes the parts count. Most sets are built up in a monochromatic color scheme, white being the prevailing shade. Their Big Ben / Palace of Westminster is pretty laughable.

This is true. I guess what makes it especially hilarious for me is how badly Block Tech wants to fool buyers into thinking they're some sort of sophisticated collectible by ripping off the Lego Architecture packaging design, then shows what may as well be a stack of white 2x4 blocks.

Not trying to draw this out, but I did check the exchange rates between the two currencies before posting. 2 loonies roughly comes out to 1.6 burgertix. Here in Burgerstan, vending machine capsule bricks can be found for between .5 and .75 burgertix. That would be less than CAD$1.

Buying one for the novelty is understandable, I suppose. Five, though? I would much rather put those $10 to buying something better.

With some mods it could be decent; like that grasping arm is too short to actually reach anything, and the missile-pod-or-whatever mount is just a 1x2 piece. But it's a decent parts pack.

The orange is a little paler than Lego orange, but Lego colors being inconsistent as shit anyway, it will blend right in. Quality is great. For eleven bucks, I'm really happy with the set.

I have the thing from the OP. It really stressed the armor parts when I tried to remove it from the legs because of how they snap into the holes in the back but the arms worked rather well. I plan on never removing it again when I decided on which figure parts to sacrifice for it.

Here in Germany it's especially weird to see any "non-Lego" Lego in stores because aside from Toysrus which had Megabloks nobody ever carried these things. Now a supermarket chain started carrying Megabloks more regulary but only Minions, TMNT sets and the blindbags (but like months old series).

So I found it surprising that anybody thought selling these pieces of shit. 10€ for 100 bricks, all the same 2x4 basics in one color which matches Lego perfectly. Most SW troopers look like shit, too easy to tell apart from real Lego.
The countless listings of these Wolfpack / Wolffe / Fox / Rex / AOTC Shiny / AOTC red captain troopers are the best but the plastic feels a bit too rough for my taste and only the Wolfpack Troopers matched suitably the official figure, but the hips of the wolfpacks always separate from the torso so I will have to glue that.

Pogo or PG have pretty good SW figs but they don't really do troopers as far as I see.

Another thing: the Dewback exists in two versions. You can spot the difference from the helmet of the Sandtrooper figure. The Rebels style Trooper has an extra sprue of Brickarms guns (Han Solo, Boba Fett, Clone rifle, Stormtrooper blaster, Plisskins gun from Escape from New York and some weird thing) but I think the saddle parts all have shittier, not matching colors bordering on dark red.
The Dewback with the realistic style Sandtrooper only has the regular Lego rifle and blaster.

Change reviewer. Digger317 gives brand names and such. Though I can live with Aliexpress pictures alone. Most stores use stock images of the original lego figures but someone will have a picture of the real thing you get eventually.

Only got Khal Drogo and Jaime Lannister instead of the full set (just to use for parts).

POGO shamelessly stole the designs from Citizen Brick (their discontinued "Dragon Sword Fighter Force" minifigs set).

I can't compare them to their original counterparts but the Chinese ripoffs surprised me for their quality, above the usual bootleg. Jaime has silver metallic printing on the arms and legs and golden and white printing on his armor. No back printing or dual head though; what you see is what you get.

The cape and loincloth are acrylic fiber like the usual LEGO capes.

tl;dr very good quality printing, accesories and overall; if I didn't know better I would have mistaken them for the actual third party.

If you want I can assemble the parts and take pics but I can assure you can trust that image.

I know those packs, they were the first single weapons that I found on Aliexpress a month or two ago and made me go "if I have accurate versions of those blasters then I can switch out the bulk of my official Lego blasters and megaphones with these things".
DC-15 is similar to the DLT-19 / MG34 but not enough. Bootleg MG34 would be great but I think I will stick with the MG42 for that weapon for now.

Was browsing AliExpress and ran across an odd bunch of sets by HSANHE. They're very similar to the Lego Corner Cafe, except that each is it's own business, such as a pet store or a billiard hall, each also with slightly unique styling on the building. Took a few pics of the thing while I built it.

Finished set was in order, stickers and all. Legs on the minifigs were slightly weak at the waist, but they stand up and sit down just fine; just won't have the speeder do any barrel rolls.

I'm admittedly starting to get spoiled with some of these clone sets from China. The normal Lego set of this set was $20 at launch, and I'd never have paid that much. Between this set and the First Order Tie Fighter I posted a while back (which was $25 for a very good version of a $99 set), I'm finding it harder and harder to even buy normal Lego sets. I know that they're better in some ways, but China has really caught up fast, and is even offering things that Lego hasn't made despite owning the rights, like small Batman sets with figures, or unique Marvel sets with comic book hawkeye, or even the minifigs like Game of Thrones, Uncanny X-Men, and other similar things.

Got my latest arms shipment in today, confirming my suspicions that while several sellers use the same stock image and advertise it roughly the same way, the contents can vary from store to store. Nearly all of it is firearms, the other had piles of ninja weapons and a ton of sandbags, this time there's none of the former and a handful of the latter.

Other companies always have other tolerances. The studs are the same measurements of course but as you probably noticed some bricks are loose with each other while they actually work with others. Other brands care less about the tolerances which is why Lego generally always works great. If you want to be 100% sure put Lego only with Lego.

Though I own 30 transparent Lego 1x1 round plates and cones that are cracked even though I did nothing illegal with them.

Transparent pieces are polycarbonate and not ABS, and are not as flexible.

Qiaoletong has a slightly larger peg size. Do not buy.

In general, do not leave on 1x1 transparents on pegs of different brands for too long. They will break due to unaccounted for thermal expansion.

Yes, but transparent anything will break over time even if it's same brand. I've lost so many Lego 1x1 trans-dark blue and trans-green tiles to this, my tray of trans-neon green cones is at least a third cracked bottom ones.

The liquidation center has several of the Kazi X-Agents sets but I don't find them interesting enough to try, I don't like the Tron aesthetic and there's not much else going for them.

They are legit and they're part of the Mega Construx line, which is basically Mega Bloks for older kids. And both Mega Construx and Mega Bloks are owned by Mattel. I haven't bought any so I can't say firsthand if they are any good, but Gyarados here is very tempting.

Mega Construx has a bunch of video game licenses including COD, Halo, and Destiny, so I'm not surprised they picked up Pokemon.

I bought the Eevee one and it's alright.
The proportions are a bit off, but what can you hope for with a mini set?
The only real issue I'm noticing is that some of the joints have faded from stress when I snapped them together.
I think the ball would have been better if it had a hinge in the back instead of splitting apart.

Hoping the Eeveelutions will be minis too, but I won't count on it.
I might get the Magikarp and a Gyrados set.
Nothing else I really crave from the first wave.

New arms shipment today, Saddam would be so jelly. The original assortment image showed 22 different pieces but my order has multiples of several and the rest missing altogether, not that I'm complaining as these are largely the better weapons of the lot. I only regret not getting the golden EE-3 (Boba Fett's rifle), might try again in the future for this set from someone else. The colored AK set was to see how good they look in person, they're not perfect but not terrible either.

First impression is good. Printing's excellent, and overall quality seems really decent. Except, the legs are pretty loose, some of the parts have noticeable mold leftovers or marks but not that much worse than lego.

Every minifig comes like this, half assembled with the arms off. Probably because it's cheaper to print them in one pass.

I've had mixed results, some have arrived in a week (faster than some inter-province mailings, scary eh) while others took the better part of two months. I have four or five different orders on the way, one hasn't been seen since it left China two weeks ago and it has actual tracking so no clue what's up with it.

It's a patience game to get the fun chinabricks but they're worth it in the end, usually.

Jestro has a cape. He also escaped the shower of gold with one arm, one leg, and half his hat remaining pearl gray.

The Book of Evil comes with a single Page of Evil, same print on a 1x2 tile, and the white ghost thing can be worn as a hat. Neat.

As far as I know they'll bend over backwards to accommodate you to preserve their high ratings, send them a message and include a pic of the figs, go from there.

My only experience with a similar matter was when I ordered two different Captain Hydras from the same store but when it arrived it was two of the same fig, I messaged them about it and it turned out they didn't have the alternate version to begin with, bit of false advertising but I let it go. I doubt it's the same situation with your order as the figs in question are quite different, I hope you're able to resolve it to satisfaction.

I got the bootleg X-Files minifigs from Aliexpress, Fox (KL068) and Scully (KL069).

Mulder's torso print is pretty good but Scully's a bit fuzzy. The shoe's paint is bad but it's better than nothing. Scully has white printed cuffs and the LEGO Batman movie mayor's hairpiece in dark orange.

Both are CombatBricks weapons, top is described as "Long range precision sniper rifle - "Lord" ", bottom is "M24-R Sniper System". I have copious amounts of both rifles thanks to a few bulk weapons orders, both can be held by minifigs at the stock behind the scope.

I have an actual "Lord" from CombatBrick, here on top with the bootlego beneath. I'm quite sure they took the CB design and simplified it a bit to cut costs, MinifigCat's L96 is quite similar but theirs has a built-in adjustable bipod.

I bought a four-pack of Sembo Blocks not-Ninjago dragons, they're pretty nice.

Plastic quality feels a little bit below Lego. The ball joints are really tight. I'm a little paranoid about them cracking, I guess time will tell how they hold up. Nothing broke while I was assembling and posing the first one around, anyway...

Final pic for completeness' sake. Color comparison has Sembo on the left, Lego on the right.

Overall quality is not quite Lego. It's most apparent when posing the legs, the ankle joints have stronger clutch than the lower leg assembly, so those parts can work themselves loose. Blue ninja looks like an asshole. The printed bits are kind of meh. I'm still really happy with them, especially at $15 for all four.

Also the way the heads are assembled is kind of brilliant, they use that pistol with studs on five sides piece. Jaw's not articulated, but oh well.

Does this company or any other bootlego do Axel's arms in solid silver, or black? I need them for something and just getting a bootleg for these parts seems easier than painting over the molded transparent orange pauldrons.

I finally got this order today, been really busy with classes and being sick so I don't have any pics for now but I will say the ISIS set is incomplete, at least in this form. It comes with an instruction sheet for each minifig which is supposed to include a minibuild (such as the oil catapult with ISIS flag) but the parts for most of them are absent. Did some searching around ali and found another store offering a pair of listings for the figs, one apparently being the one I have now and the other including the missing minibuilds, I ordered one of the latter and my current state overruled patience, paid for premium ali shipping so we should be seeing it a lot sooner this time. Rather annoying but the stuff I did get is pretty good all the same, there's three sprues of weapons including a few Minifigcat rifles and NVG parts I didn't have yet.

haven't even opened the Germans yet, I'll get to those in a little bit.
