So I got this Ida doll because I think overall she's pretty cool, usually the Inspiring Women dolls are kinda cheap looking but her dress actually feels pretty premium and she has nice 19th century boots. However her painted hairline is so ugly and cheap looking. Is there like a cultural reason they keep doing black dolls with these painted hairlines or is it literally a cost thing so they can keep the same rooting pattern for all of them? I'm kinda tempted to punch some holes and root her hairline, although then I'd have to put her hair up again. I'd bet it's barely rooted under her bun too.
