>>8860841Well, not all of the color schemes were bad. At the time, pretty much every American toy was using bright, neon color schemes, so it didn't seem too weird, especially if you grew up during that era. In my case, I grew up at the tail-end of G2 (and while I owned a few transformers from then, I didn't really get into the series until BW), so seeing the original color schemes of most characters (especially Beachcomber, the Aerialbots, and Constructicons) still strikes me as 'weird', even today.
Also, some of the original characters from that generation were pretty nice - I miss by old buddy Turbofire, and wish he'd get a modernized toy at some point.
