Unfortunately, for some reason TOY isn't a board that you can search on the archive, so sorry if these are stupid questions.
I like some of the branded logo figure stands - not for everything, but for some stuff. And I have a handful of lose DC Direct and DC Collectible stands - when they made them with the extra peg holes and then had the peg pins in a baggie underneath. Some sellers who bought estates tossed those or had no clue what they were so separated them and I now have about 10 of these, including about 3-5 with broken pins.
Is there a good way to MAKE some. Or some place to buy say a baggie of 20-50 at none-nose-bleed prices?
ALSO: I have a few fodder lots and auction lots I won where the figures are missing a pin. I already have some bookmarked video guides and some web pages save that were recommended to me but I was wondering if there's a place to BUY some replacement pegs (I mean the small thin ones for say the forearm to the upper arm at the elbow, or the knee)? Or again, is this easy to make and paint.
For reference, I've got a graphic design degree and I'm old enough that I studied before everything got done with computers so I'm comfortable with some crafts and some art stuff but I haven't even tried simple customization paint jobs (mostly because I'm in an apartment building with no real ventilation or space where I wouldn't possibly cause damage that would lose me my deposit). Plus, it's been forever since I've done artistic painting.
FINALLY, any suggestion besides museum putty to fix something like PICREL. I'd like to be able to pose the arm so superglue is a non-starter. And I have a few such figures (again, lot purchases) that I'd like to sell off and it's not in me to dump crap on buyers even on EB.
Sorry if these questions have been asked and answered, I did try to search via browser but that didn't cough up anything.
THANKS!
