The introductory first season would have a western medieval European vibe, with nasal helms and spears aka typical medieval Lego, next season could have a middle eastern vibe with turbans and curved swords, after that there's room for samurai and China, or a season with African kingdoms would be dope. Each season's robots would be a blend of armor and architecture from the culture and era they're inspired by.
At one point of the idea becomes too stale you can introduce "beastmasters", aka castles and what not built on top of monsters! If LEGO is still concerned with the violence in their products, then there could be an equal amount of sets where it's just civilian/peasant robots, like a wind mill tractor or a peasant house on tank treads. You could also go out of your way to make the gimmick weapons in the sets look non lethal, like net shooters.
