A while back I built up a little collection of 8x8 circle dioramas to highlight certain minifigures. They're all torn down now, so I want to replace them. If you give me decent suggestions I'll make them. Don't themefag too hard - I have an eclectic collection of fig parts so I have to be interpretive about it. Whatever is funny or interesting, and fits into an 8x8 with pic related being the base color options.

I've bought a Gundam type thing before and it had a very similar vibe to Lego, where your hard work and effort is eventually rewarded with a cool model, but having said that, Lego seems to be doing Gundam type sets already and have been for years.

Again. My problem with BL for CMF is shipping. $5 shipping (generally) for a $5 item is stupid on my end. It's not unreasonable for the seller to charge that. They are running a business. And shipping costs them money. But it makes it so the only way it's worth it on my end is if I spend a bunch of money at the same store to make it worth that shipping price. On top of that, the prices for CMF on bricklink vary wildly depending on how in demand the figure is. I just want to buy the figure I want in person. They should do away with the random aspect of it. Feeling up bags (what I wish I could do to band aid solution myself) is part of the problem too. The game of chance is a meme and does nothing but inflate the aftermarket and scalpers.

Use sotf paintbrush, large one, while holding a vacuum cleaner with long pipe in the other hand. If you are afraid it can suck in some of the smaller pieces, just put a net on it. Dusting off kinda takes a lot of time if you want to do it thoroughly, so I keep my city under dozens of light bedsheets. I was thinking to change those to a thin foil, but I can always put the bedsheets into washing machine and clean them that way, taking off a dusty foil would make a mess.

New idea for a LEGO theme:
FIGHTIN' CASTLES (or MAN O' FORT, we'll figure the name out)
Essentially, it's a great big fantasy world full of dangerous beasts and magical kingdoms. The schtick is that the monsters are Kaiju sized, and the magical kingdoms are giant robots: great big robots with cities and castles built into them, wrassling with the great big monsters.
Each release season would have specific trend;
>Castle vs Mega-Monster. The most expensive set in the release, it would essentially be two massive action figures built out of bricks and technic with each of them standing at a whopping 8 inches tall. The castle obviously has mechanical gimmicks like launching bullets or arm chopping action, plus has a cockpit which is essentially the throne of the lord of the castle, and all of his or her men at arms are on the battlements built into the robot's torso, shoulders, arms, and legs. The mega Monster would be articulated and have limb swinging actions.
>A couple of knights vs monsters sets. Conceptually these are mid range sets price wise. Smaller(about half the size) robots and monsters, but still the same as the bigger set. A knight in his robot with his entourage of Squires and servants fighting a equally sized monster. Perhaps each set includes a small building for the two action figures to "fight over": a barn, a bakery, a black smith.
>"Monster Packs". Basically, small monsters no more than 2 inches tall and a lot less complicated than the previous sets. These would be good as a "grab a small quick thing" set. Can either be a monster or some type of warmachine that men at arms operate. You can even have double packs where you essentially repack two different sets into one for a "versus" box.

Each release season would follow the same pattern more or less. The introductory first season would have a western medieval European vibe, with nasal helms and spears aka typical medieval Lego, next season could have a middle eastern vibe with turbans and curved swords, after that there's room for samurai and China, or a season with African kingdoms would be dope. Each season's robots would be a blend of armor and architecture from the culture and era they're inspired by.
At one point of the idea becomes too stale you can introduce "beastmasters", aka castles and what not built on top of monsters! If LEGO is still concerned with the violence in their products, then there could be an equal amount of sets where it's just civilian/peasant robots, like a wind mill tractor or a peasant house on tank treads. You could also go out of your way to make the gimmick weapons in the sets look non lethal, like net shooters.

Thanks anon. I was happy with how it turned out. But it's actually an old snowboarder vest from pic related which I had as a kid. I have a second vest in one of my bins somewhere but couldn't find it for the other nuns. I briefly considered "army" building nuns but thought better of it when I found out white vests are impractical to come by. They're not expensive but every store that has it for cheap has just one in stock so it would be annoying. I never thought of using the penguin guy torso. That seems like a good idea.

And yeah, the penguin torso is relatively easy to come. Most shops only have one, but some stores have a bulk of it. Down side is the flipper limbs, hope you have a lot of black arms to spare.

And then you can expand the theme with boats. Basic release structure but instead of robots it's sailing ships that turn into submarines, and the monsters reflect this change by being sea serpents and giant crabs and such, as opposed to the dragons and griffons and such from the previous kitsif you want, you could make the gimmick of the whole series be that the robot's transform. Like, a castle bot could lie down and have his limbs bend up and lock into towers so that the torso becomes the keep, and the bots of the Knights could become towers. But that might be too complicated to be feasible.

To be honest I've only read that announcement/introduction to the Dreamzzz line on Lego's website, images of the sets, and some screens of the show so I don't know a lot.
However, from the main character seemingly having vitiligo and lots of statements of diversity this and that have been red flags that overt wokeness is on the horizon. So I'm not surprised that you're already seeing that in Germany. I suspect it'll start popping up elsewhere soon enough.

Tommy Andreason is pretty based, Ninjago has been running for nearly 13 years and hasn't had a single gay or trans character. Closest they had was the pink haired dangerhair from Crystalized who had a pride flag on her van. I mean, we've seen the sets and the characters. It's cute and focused to kids of all types, with the shark ship as crown piece. If I had to point out a flaw it's that the fighting scenes and character interactions are tame as hell, Nexo Knights tier. What happened to the fancy stuff we've seen in Ninjago? Budget?

I really like Orca, although admittedly I've never actually read any of the comics. Just looking at google for pics of all her appearances, it's funny that nobody could decide on a consistent look for her (the Injustice 2 one is fucking awful). Like they didn't know if they wanted her to be buff or fat, masculine or feminine, etc. My ideal version would be somewhere between the super jacked one in that pic and the more human-looking feminine look of her first appearance.

Anyway, I don't mind her minifig since they were clearly going for their own goofy spin on her design. But I definitely wouldn't mind a proper bigfig of her.
