Resizing a part like this via molding would be a Xylene/solvent bath up to 7-10 days, pulling and drying it before the mold dissolves and hoping you got the timing and proportions right.
A five minute scan and a 2hr print beats that to hell. Besides, I can print a crystal clear part without degassing the mold and vacuum casting, and I'd rather have rubbing alcohol in the house than bet whoever welded my pressure pot gave a shit.
