The original Sam Sinister (top hat guy in Egypt) is now called Slyboots, and has since been demoted to henchman, despite being the original main villain of the subtheme. Cut to Amazon, where the main villain Palomar supposedly works alongside Sam Sinister's sister, who doesn't appear in the subtheme at all and instead features in Dino Island.
Fast forward to Orient Expedition and Baron Von Baron, the once assistant now boss of Egypt, is now the main bad guy. He's now called Sam Sinister for some reason and wears clothes very similar to his boss, but retains his distinctive grey hook and monocle.
I did also find this while looking up the theme and now I want one.
