>>8955085>Are they gonna take toon-only characters and recreate them in the Playmates style? That's a possibility. Another possibility is that they're going to go back to the weird / gross / way out there concepts that playmates developed but never produced either for lack of popularity or lack of time. Pic related is my personal favourite non canon (to anything) toy concept.
>Are they gonna make Atilla and Rasputin different frogs like how Napoleon was a horned toad?I hope so, it would be a great way to really differentiate the punk frogs set from the more uniform cartoon versions, while also proving their ability to create the nostalgia vibe in a toy that never existed before. I've seen some fan concepts for Rasputin as a poison dart frog in particular that I really liked. (A brightly coloured frog dude with the implication that his own poison made him slightly crazy or that poison doesn't effect him.) Having said that, it could also backfire into "not muh" or people being annoyed that an OC is taking the one spot of a highly coveted 12 non-turtle spots a year.
Either way,
>"characters you can't possibly own yet."seems like a potential risk that either builds hype or upsets fans.
>>8955085>what's the likelihood of pic related getting figures based on their infamous rarity?Pretty high, Super7 is pretty good about choosing not just popular characters but popular (or infamous) toys, however, it may be a while before the notorious figures show up.
