Even if they didn't have the crew quarters or anything like that, there's plenty of game-inspired stuff they could have put in instead (flame traps, retractable spikes, crates with power ups in them, etc.). Plus, the big hand contraption takes up the ENTIRE interior of the set. So while it's technically true that the inside is crammed with stuff, it's all wasted on a single pretty weak play feature. And that's another thing - all the hand itself does is turn around and has a target on the back that you're supposed to hit with Mario to knock it off. That's okay I guess, but it would have been way better if it could move up and down, and maybe even extend to try to grab stuff. So what could have been a really cool mechanical play feature is instead yet another "hit the thing with the electronic Mario" which is one of the biggest problems I have with these sets
