Around 20 years or so; I avoid transforming him and prefer to keep him in Beast Mode, which is why his vacuum paint hasn't chipped - yet. His left Raptor eyebrow and the edges of one of his hips/robot pauldrons are showing signs of cracking, but nothing major; likewise, his rubber tail is still soft, springy and flexible (somehow).
I love how his bio makes him out to be basically every shounen anime protagonist ever - stupidly overpowered, cocky, and renowned for being a total smartass towards enemies and allies alike.

Fix Dinobot's fingers, dude. You can make his hands look the way they do on the show by slipping the tubes over the peg on his wrist - it's not shown in the instructions, but that also lets you bend his elbows more and levels out the gun barrels between his fingers so he can presumably use them in beast mode.

I hate how the arms are mistransformed right out of the box. So many people dumped on that mold because they thought the beast arms looked terrible...but that's because nobody realized the second joint on his robot shin was supposed to be his beast elbow, his knees were his beast shoulders, and the wire can be moved to lower the toes into its show configuration. He actually looks really great when transformed properly. Also, his repaint has the best color scheme.

Well, Dinobot 2 and his (superior) repaint, Rapticon. He doesn't LOOK too skeletal, though (and in-lore, he's actually supposed to be technorganic, not a zombie TM2 like his mold-mate was). Also, the Bayformers dinobots are all skeletal dinos (and they come in two colors each - movie 'accurate' and neon).

So, unrelated to the current discussion, but I finally got my hands on Rapticon! He was NIB and looks great for a 20 something year old toy, except he's showing signs of flaking in the metallic paint over his left eye. Totally to be expected, all things considered, but since I've been fortunate with my other Transmetals over the years and never had any major flaking issues, I'm not sure if there's anything that can be done to stop or slow the process.
On a side note, I'm amazed at how many people mistransform this guy's (and Dinobot II's) Beast Mode arms.
