Keep leftover thinned paint in a small airtight container.
Suck the unused paint out of airbrush with a pipette and put it back into said container (if it's a primer you can use it to paint some spoons for future use).
Use ball bearings and mixing sticks to mix paint instead of mixer.
In the end though, a jar of paint is only $3-5 so saving every last microliter of paint is not really worth it.
