Unless you are going for a fancy free-hand camo or something like that there is nothing your average joe can't do, and even that can be iterated if you follow the correct techniques.
That specific kit is a rather complex one tho, I would recommend you getting a cheaper easier kit, an airfix 1/76 for example so you can display them together, so you can try everything before giving it a go.
