>>8205603The flimsiness of the Explorien Starship is one of the things that has had me torn about the birthday decision I made that year. It was between that and the Aquazone lab and I went for the Exploriens ship. Building it was confusing, so I never finished it and just made a stationary base out of it. I always wonder if I made the right choice. The Aquazone base had a sub that was similar to the Crystal Explorer sub which I had and basically was just the doors and that building there. It looks bigger than what it is it felt like, so it seemed like the ship was the better choice. I was never 100% happy with it though, so I guess it qualifies as maybe the only set I regretted, even though it was a birthday present

The big thing on top I always thought was a giant laser cannon. This was about when the builds started falling off in quality with stuff that looked half built like they had to make it with less parts. Your mech moc and looking at pictures of some of the theme's sets has me interested in it again though. I might have to try to whip something up myself.
