>>9538612I'll grant that with the two-three finger hinges, but in all these years I've only had a couple of the bigger five-finger hinges break, and even then it was losing a single finger and they were still usable. While they have their own advantages, the ratcheted hinge replacement system fixes the range of angles they can bend to, making them less than ideal for canopies. I appreciate them for other things (the arms of the carrier notably) but for hinged panels I much prefer the older system - annoys me that I've had to mix the two on some ships and modules but it was not cost-effective to track down enough of the older one in plain yellow.
