The original Beast Wars concept, BEFORE the television show, was meant to be even more connected to G1 than the show's story ended up being, it was literally supposed to be G1 Optimus and G1 Megatron in the future with new armies and organic beast modes.

It would be a Sonic The Hedgehog/Venom tier "am I dreaming?" moment if they put out a movie with Lion King reboot style talking realistic animals.....but these days who knows. Either way, I highly doubt the movie will get anywhere beyond pre production
Remember how there was going to be an Optimus Prime solo movie? Didn't happen. Remember how there was going to be a War For Cybertron movie? Didn't happen. Remember how there was going to be a live action Hasbro Universe with G.I Joe and MASK? Didn't happen. Beast Wars The Movie also likely will not happen. Bumbleee 2 will happen.
