But for real though, I often use pictures of real people, or scenes/stills from shows, as inspiration. TFs, certainly the ones in your pic, are now articulated so well that they can take a lot of the poses that people can. Slight adjustments to waist swivels, shoulders, even slight tilts of the head can all have a big effect and make a figure come to life.
