As for Road Hauler, this is my first experience with the mould, it just never hit for me from reviews, mostly due to the size, but I almost bought this guy in particular though a few times cuz hes such a nobody and im a sucker for those. And now that I've got him I'm really impressed, primarily due to the transformation. The bot mode looks and poses great, the truck looks pretty good and i love the mobility of the crane. But the star of the show is how effortless and fun the transformation is. Its one of those figures you just immediately want to change again, its basically just 3 big steps but it does so much with that little motion. I really enjoy a good, thoughtful and interesting transformation as a puzzle on its own, but theres something to be said for the play value and genius of such a basic but effecting conversion.
Would i suggest this at full price? Sadly no, this design just begs to be bigger, I know it fits with the main line G1 scale chart they've settled into but he just needs to be leader height. But if you can find it at your Ross for nine bucks, fuck yeah
