>>9885098>Why was the western theme so unashamedly based?Just great playability, you've got the whole "cops vs robbers" shtick going on which is always a winner, only they're armed to the fucking teeth, plus it includes a lot of the elements that make classic castle/pirate great as well, you've got wagons, cannons, guns, horses, swords, little forts and the shitty little facade buildings lend themselves really well to the western theme.
