>>10278031If we take a closer look, we can see just how clean these parts come out. Even the wheels, which gather a lot of grime if played with, are completely clean. There are still some larger loose dust particles and hairs here and there, I didn't rinse quite well enough, but oh well.
The important part, and what I love about this process, is that it completely removes all smells. These parts didn't smell bad, but they smelled like someone else's house. If you stuck your nose into the pile, you could instantly tell that they were pre-owned. Now, they smell like nothing. Absolutely nothing. And that just really makes an old set feel like new to me.
(And yes, those are melted 8479 parts used as backing material in the ultrasonic cleaner.)
