It was a huge, useless disaster. The absolute biggest issue that sorting can help alleviate is pieces of different volume being all jumbled together, which color sorting doesn't address at all. Just imagine trying to find a red 1x1 plate in a bin of all red pieces vs in a bin of all 1x1 plates and cheese slopes.
Anyway, this is pretty good segue into posting battlestations. Everybody post your battlestations!
