>>9745743I see your point but I would argue that my greebling is still different from what you describe. I use greebling to get a textured surface. Using pistons, coils springs or toothgears with implied but without actual function is (other than a toothgear on the Metru torso's back) very rare in my creations. So the reason for my greeble is indeed the industrial, mechanical and rough look, as opposed to a futuristic, smooth and clean look.
I did once build a steampunk-ish figure where the elbows and knees had little friction and were actually held by pistons instead.
