As happy as I am to see variant dolls for the very first time since the current toy company took over making dolls for the Disney Store this also means that this is the decline of the Disney Store dolls. The beginning of the end. When sales start to drop on characters wearing their original outfits companies fall back on gimmicks like including pets, and rings, and they usually lower the quality of the fabric used on the dolls. Soon we'll get Beach party Disney princess dolls, and maybe even new playline Masquerade party doll line. I'm all for this, but it's sad to learn that things are winding down.
