>>9657896It’s open to debate. Depending on the art you’re looking at, it can look white, silver, or black. Many consider it to be white, as the MvC2 game and animated tv show went with white for the most part. There’s an argument to be made that most “white” depictions are silver due to Jim Lee’s influence of black highlights on the costume.
The issue has a lot to do with shading. Taking a look at, say, McFarlane’s Venom vs Jim Lee’s Cyclops, they’re both basically black with blue highlights. Except Venom is most black, and Cyclops is mostly blue, but they’re still incredibly similar. It’s the same issue that led Spider-Man 2099 to be interpreted as blue instead of black, even though the first couple of issues basically color him the same way the black Symbiote costume was colored twenty years earlier.
Point being, it’s open to interpretation. Don’t get in a fight over something that literally hasn’t been proven. Sometimes it’s white, sometimes it’s silver.
