>>6851328If you mean the REALLY old kits, like when they were all molded in a single color and required glue, well, not really. Those things are an exercise in frustration and I would only recommend them if you want to challenge your modeling skills to the max.
If you mean older like older HGUCs or something, well, yeah, I'd recommend most of them. Their articulation and engineering are obviously not great, but they can have more pleasing proportions sometimes. Everything nowadays feels the touch of Katoki (ie, tiny torso huge legs) and I'm not really a fan.
Also, very good choice for your first kit. That Zaku mold is still one of my favorites because of how fucking SOLID it is, it just feels great to hold and pose. Doesn't hurt that it looks amazing too.
