Fixed the barrel of the tank I was using (I was asking about tanks last thread) and measured it.
it's about an inch shorter width-wise and about an inch or two less long than the Ali tanks but it still seems to photograph okay.

I bought all the sets because I loved wow but it was a horrible concept:

He-Man/Skeletor/Teela/Beast Man/Faker 5-pack was found locally at Kroger Marketplace-type store, single-carded figures from that and Wal-Mart, single-carded 5-pack was an Amazon exclusive, Castle Grayskull, Snake Mountain, the Battle Ram, Land Shark and She-Ra vs Hordak and Monstroid had to be ordered online, the Battlecat vs Roton and Panthor at Point Dread set were deeply clearanced at Wal-Mart after New Year's 2021 and I scored the Wind Raider half off at a Ross.

Not thar Anon, but it makes sense. The formula works for Halo. Everyone has a mini-fig that they used to represent themselves or characters they made up. Why this didn’t work for WoW? I don’t know. My only guess is that it has something to do with Blizzard because all of their toylines flopped.

All these races, classes and armor types is overwhelming for the Mega Halo formula
They spent resources on less popular races like Tauren instead of making a wide variety of parts for Humans and Blood Elves.

Gold Arbiter is franken'd from that 20th all-gold version plus that blind bag yellow elite . Maybe I should've looked for spare elite parts because the yellow donor is growing on me.

The painted Needler and Beam Rifle are from Heroes figures, right? I was surprised that they were easier to find than the purple Covenant versions that I wanted. Guess others were building Covenant troops too.

Was thinking the same, the packaging seems original (though some of the randoms I've ordered off Ali have been bagged in similar fashion) but I've looked through my collection and all the sets online, seems like it could be at least partly a Brute Warrior. Have gotten a few hybrid figures from Ali, this might be one too?

Pic related, number 7 consists of a head from Decimus from UNSC Frostraven vs. Decimus; left pauldron from Banished Brute from a few possible sets; rest from Atriox from Halo Heroes Series 3. Wish I could remember how it was packaged, might've been the same way.

I'm having a hard time figuring out what figures the components originated from. The only Brute I can find with pauldrons in that shade of purple is the Brute Warrior from the Razorback set. The torso is unusual, not many Brutes have it in black and none of them seem to have those arms. The legs don't match the color of the forearms and the helmet and chest armor are definitely the Warrior type. Just looking at my collection of Brutes makes me think either this fig is an amalgamation of at least four different Brutes, or is its own fig that I don't have and can't seem to locate online.

All that articulation is going to waste because their short limbs combined with bulky armor limits their poseabilty.

Weird overly long arms, belts and thighs.
BUT they could give those parts to Brutes.
With the torso, belt and longer thighs they would be around 1cm taller. The brutes already use thigh pieces as thick as CoD scale

They can't hold their weapons with two hands. So what's the point of having elbow articulation? Their knees don't even bend a full 90 degrees. Their waist barely moves left to right. Their shoulder pads restrict arm lift. And their chest armor is sometimes so bulky and high up on their necks that they can barely move their heads.

So I ask you, what is the point of all this articulation if it doesn't translate to poseability?

I do agree that the spartans being CoD size would allow for better posing, but mega has said time and time again that it's never happening, as they want to keep all vehicles compatible.

Yes, the Halo figures are more poseable than Lego, but they're less poseable than CoD. And this is my point. The reason Mega gave CoD figures longer arms is so they could hold their weapons more realistically. So why are we settling for the inferior midget scale when the CoD scale has been proven to be better?

Also, these figures look goofy with their short arms and legs. Wouldn't you prefer a more realistic representation of the Halo characters?

Unlike the CoD (which was aimed at adults), clearly the Halo line is geared towards a younger audience, one that still plays with their toys and cares less about poseabilty and realism.

So, if Mega refuses to bring back CoD and Destiny for the older fans, then I propose they compromise by introducing a second Halo line for a more mature audience. This knew premium line would have the CoD scale and higher quality parts and paint apps. No doubt this line would come at a higher price point, but us older guys have more money to throw away on such things, so no big deal.

There's a steep learning curve to it, which is why most people just use Aliexpress.

First, follow this guide so you can make one without a Chinese bank account:

It's not Mega's fault. You can bet good money that lego has been doing everything in their power to fuck them as hard as possible. Those 14 lost lawsuits against mega weren't about infringement of any IP, but draining their wallets- something only lego can afford to do between the two of them. Yes, and Mattel was building another one before covid. It also seems like Mexico gets a ton of stuff, but in reality we don't, it's just for some reason a few things show up here first before the US, but in reality distribution in Mexico is very limited and there are a ton of sets/halo heroes we don't get.

Not to rub it in too much (only a little bit) but a few years ago this was the local liquidation centre - no idea how they ended up with so many, afaik these were barely on shelves here previously and even then it was just Dollarama for a buck more. Has that skull headed Spartan come out yet or that Battle for Eternia 2 set? Those two are the only things aside from waiting on Snake Mountain to get cheaper that I have look forward to from Mega.

It’s really inconsistent. You’d think it was just a problem with real conflicts like WWII and Vietnam, but Infinite Warfare, BO two and three got nothing. Meanwhile, Ghost and Advanced Warfare had enemies that even had patches to distinguish them from the generic soldiers.

At the same time though the Nazi sets were very downplayed - they're not listed on Mega's CoD pages and when I asked them why they gave a generic non-answer. The one exception is the "Axis Officer" from the Legends: Checkpoint Charge set but that might've been deemed generic enough to fly under the radar or was simply missed.

That works if you want bricks - not figures.
I suppose I am happy with what I have. I just really collect the figures - but there are still things I would like to see and possibly buy.
I'm not a HALO, model Hot Wheels, or Pokemon collector and would just like to see more (any) single figures or even group sets if they interest me.
I'm looking forward to the second Heroes of Eternia set for instance.
but I would like to see a return to single figures as well as more female characters.
I think a lot of us want more figures - we don't see a lot of Mega Brick builds here.
- at least not on their own.Like you said there are "other bricks" but I don't think that for the majority that's what they want out of the company.

I'm sure it was probably Matty that made te decision to move away from the styles (like Monster High / American girl) but their other non-articulated figures (like with the driver of the Canadian Tire Van) are pretty bad as well.
And I don't think that the "small parts and children" work as an argument as the figure is still small enough to choke on.
I saw a pic of Santa Hat He Man from the advent set that someone posted from Ebay showing they made the damned molds - they just fucked us over because they got greedy.

Just ordered the 20th Anniversary fig pack on a whim and shuddered at the $173 CAD price of the Banished Phantom (down from $200). I got two of the original Phantom for less than that, granted the second one was a thrift store find but MSRP at the time was around 100 or so.

Sup, respectable moving joints connoseurs. Found these fellas and a bunch of other Halo and CoD figures, what a memory... Sadly, I can`t find a Halo robot (combat suit-like one with a glass piece covering a pilot) and an aircraft I had 6 years ago or so.
