This has made me realize I don't have any halloween or horror tinged figures. I think the closest I have to something like that is a Vampire Hunter D figure since some people consider it a gothic horror series. It's one of those 20+ year old figures that's very rough around the edges, but very charming to me. I want the figure of D himself too, but that one is pretty expensive. Also lmao my power just went out I can't see shit

Yeah actually it scales somewhat well with stuff like figma and sh figuarts. Depends on the figure's proportions, some look more natural on it than others. This is the only photo I have on hand of another figure on it, don't really remember why I took it.

Found some old Lord of the Rings figures while cleaning out a closet. I haven't seen these guys since the 2000s. Some are pretty beat up and missing the odd accessory, but they look pretty impressive considering their age. Not really sure what I'm going to do with them, might give them away/sell them, or maybe someone on /toy/ is interested in them. There are some big boys like Sauron and Treebeard in the bunch so I imagine someone out there would be happy with them.

They really are. Articulation is insanely limited, but they were visually very impressive for their price.

I always like it when anons have western and eastern characters/figures interact. It's very charming to me.

This Lizard is nice! Great detail, no pins and no cut swivel waist. Even the coat is a more flexible plastic, it doesn't get in the way of posing and even adds a nice look to the poses. One of the best Marvel legends out there, in my honest opinion.

Also I don't think the amount of franchises is too weird, I think most people have a range of things they like it's just not everyone chooses to represent the thing they like in plastic form on their room.

I've gone through times when all I wanted was transformers, or Batman or just DC, etc. now it's a mix of everything anime, video game characters, comic books, movies, etc. and even though I prefer most Japanese figures, I still buy a ton of American figures.

I think the only western figures I've bought over the course of the last 5+ years are some old mcfarlane stuff. I think my only major complaint with the greater world of figure collecting is that a lot of franchises and characters I like tend to fall into the figure camp of 'look nice but the articulation isn't great.' Doesn't help when every other anime/game character has whacky long hair. JRPG character figure that can look up without their hair limiting their range challenge. Pic related can't even look up at his parrot. Sad..

Anon, keep it. You'll find that you want to, and it will appreciate with time. Surfer looks way better than the promo pics. The WG version is better but this one doesn't suffer for being less chrome/reflective. Nova is so incredible I feel relief at not having talked myself out of buying. Morg is great, I wish his axe was bigger.

Nova is just a beautiful figure, also her fire stand is great, the surfer is great for what it is, the outdated buck, but his little cosmic stand is pretty good and you can achieve really cool poses with it in his board, and as he said Morg's axe could be bigger, but the figure is well done.

It's you're normal Mythic Legions set up, so basic single jointed knees and elbows with okay range and good torso movement, nothing fancy but it gets the job done and better posers than I have gotten some poses out of it (the ML general had a few pictures in it).

I got 3 copies of them and the only thing that really feels that loose is the ankles, but not enough to make them fall over. Just feels a bit wibbly compared to other TBS figures. Absolutely worth it regardless and easily my pick for Hasbro's figure of the year by a mile.

Welp he took over a year to arrive and now he's here, happy to have an Armaggon figure but it's pretty a meh action figure.
I wasn't expecting much articulation wise but his head being locked down really hinders poses, even just a little swivel would have been nice and by extension this means his jaws can't open that wide.
Also interestingly he comes with a trigger hand and a normal gripping hand despite not having any accessories, so they're totally going to make a Archie Comic version.
Still, it's a okay figure and having the character I played with a lot on my shelf is nice, so I'm not upset or anything.

As a side note, in the video the guy claims to use polymer clay (I'm not sure if it's true or not because in my experience the polymer clay don't dry that way, you must bake it), but I used cold porcelain and I had the same results.

I have other figure releases to tide me over during long wait times, as well as the stuff I already own.
Plus I'm too used to waiting ages for both things to release and for them to ship to me, when I first starter buying imports I would only use SAL which took months to arrive sometimes so whenever something takes forever now days it doesn't bother me since I'm just used to it.

I got some bootleg mirage turtles since I was in a turtles mood two weeks back, seems like the bootleging has degraded a lot over the years when I compare them to old views and pictures from a couple of years ago.
Sloppy paint and plastic nubs all over, also the hands on Leo and Raph are too loose to hold their weapons without some trickery.
That said they are neat and we're cheap, I plan on getting the new Mirage Turtles when they release so these guys are just place holders until then.

Yeah, their first armor are the best one. Except for Ikki, his V2 armor is cool too.
How's Shiryu articulation btw? Radamanthys is kind of shit but that's because he was one of the first myths and his armor is really chunky

It feels pretty nice holding in hand figures I've wanted for 16 or 17 years. Mandarake had a set of four figures available out of the blue the other day so I grabbed all four since their prices were so low and they were all still unopened in spite of their age.

I have her since I have Pyramid Head, and I would love more Silent Hill Figma. I have the Robbie Nendo too. But there's something really weird happened to the Nurse with current merchandise. So here's the Pop Up Parade figure by Goodsmile who also make the Figma. But this black square on her mouth started appearing on all sorts of figures. So what this black square actually is is a alpha texture error in a model viewer which in the actual game only the red teeth part are only meant to show. Luckily the Figma didn't do this, only the red teeth with one of the three heads.

Thanks! He's real fun to play around with. I had to add some extra clearance to the torso to increase range, but it wasn't difficult.

I really like the interaction between Surfer and Nova, love happy accidents like that.

Classic Doot Guy finally arrived in the UK, there is room for improvement but I really like him.
Not really a fan of the included super shotgun so I have him holding this pistol from the McFarlane weapons pack until I can find a good sawed off shotgun or chainsaw for him to hold.
I'll have to mess around with him more and see if he can two hand the big rifle in the same pack.

Forgot that the weapon pack included a shotgun which is pretty close to the Doom 1 shotgun (though I think that has a shorter barrel).
Very tough to get Doomguy to hold it correctly though, the trigger hole just does not want to go over his fingers so I ended up snipping one end of it to make it easier.
Holding it straight is also a bit of a issue too due to the soft plastic slightly warping but it's hard to notice unless you look at him from above.

Was that game Demon's Crest? If so then it is that guy!
Red Arremer is the demon you play as on that game which is actually the third installment in the series in Japan I believe.
He is also one of the demons in Ghosts and Goblins and has appeared in the Capcom fighting games too.

The figure is nice but also very frustrating to pose, one of the wings comes out easily when moving it and the drop down hops aren't strong enough to hold themselves up when you have him in a flying pose.

That said I like him, very cool and classic looking and since I never had a SNES growing up I only recently got to play Demon's Crest myself and it's pretty fun.
I'm more familiar with his appearances in Marvel vs Capcom and GnG

I do not, I've heard he is even worse to handle because all his armour can be removed so it's prone to falling off when posing.

Yeah damn shame, seemed like the entire line was cursed with issues which ended up killing it.
The only other figure in the line is Beat from Jet Set Radio which now goes for stupid amounts online.
Also if you want a decent Arthur figure and down mind the stout proportions, check out the nendoroid, I'm considering getting one myself.
