I haven't seen the new Zelda anywhere, but I have seen quite a few of the new Links. I heard from someone she's the rare figure of the batch but that could be completely anecdotal.

i found these at Walmart about a week ago; 2 Links, 1 Zelda. I don't want to start a new collection but I did Google to see if I missed any other characters and I saw the earlier versions and they had more stuff, so i just put them back because I'll feel the obligation to overpay for the older stuff, Zelda's head looked really fat too, kinda put me off

Got this the other day, thought I'd share it. I like it quite a bit; it's really neat having a figure of a kritter. This is sort of a supplemental playset, meant to connect with the bigger ones in the line. This one is a two piece bridge with an action feature. For 7 USD it was a steal.

I have been collecting Mario Kart Hot Wheels since last year. They are pretty fun. I hope they add characters from Wii and Tour, like Funky Kong, Petey, and Pauline. I feel like adding more variety of characters to the line would help significantly.

These days the figures that get made are of characters with zero iconic moments and there's just no organic demand for them. Things are bad right now, I wish World of Nintendo would go back to the way things were last year where we got plenty of iconic enemies and guaranteed Mario per wave. I don't want trash characters taking up slots and neither does the rest of the fanbase.

I think they're both a bit off, Roy's a bit undersized and Larry's a bit oversized. Their heights tend to get fudged around a bit depending on the game, sometimes Roy's as big as Morton, I think a few times he's actually been bigger. I think Jakks is using the NSMB series as a reference for them.

I think given how bad Jakks tends to be about scale I'm willing to overlook it here since there's at least an attempt to have the Koopalings with height variance as opposed to just making them all the same size. I mean look at this >>10227169 you have to get a Figuarts Bowser just to have one that's in reasonable scale with them, since the 2.5 Bowser is the same size as them.

Try using a mr clean magic eraser. Test it first on a part that wont show to see how it affects the plastic. It's basically a super fine sand paper. Buffing wheel on a dremel might also work.

I picked up pick related as my first figure tonight. They also had a koopaling and several Marios so I thought I would start with a less conventional one.

When you say collector friendly do you mean character selection? The 4" and 2.5" line have most of the same characters. You will find a few more in the 2.5" line though there are a few exclusively in the 4" line as well.
For Japanese figures Bandai had the SH Figuarts line a few years back. That line is higher quality than Jakks stuff, though I still like Jakks stuff. The figuarts line is very limited though to only five figures and five playsets.

I scanned the instructions for the japanese 1995 Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong model kits. At least, I think it was 1995. Some say it released in 1996. I bought them still sealed, but without their outer cardboard boxes (around 7 USD each). So these instructions are the only written documentation I have regarding them on hand.

While Dixie has held up well over the years, Diddy was brittle in comparison, with some of the paint on his arms and legs coming off with virtually no resistance. That being said, I think their original price was something like 500 yen each, so I wasn't expecting my mind to be blown by model kits this old. Still, very charming. I like them a lot.

We have them in the back, unmarked in a 999 label area. Which means unless you took it off the pallet, no worker will find it until the MOD system finds a place to display the toys.
Each walmart has at least 2 boxes of 4 in a pack. They are putting it out next quarter once most of the previous quarter toys are removed. (Buzz Lightyear and Jurassic Park extras filling the aisle.)

Posted this in another thread. This guy scales pretty well with the model kits. At least, he scales well with the most recent iterations of the characters. Diddy and Donkey were way more comparable in size in the original DKC title - they kind of had to be given they were both playable and had to function similarly in game. But in more recent entries like Tropical Freeze, Diddy is so small he's more like a backpack on Donkey now.

Oh yeah, this DK figure has an action feature, too. Two buttons on his back, press them and he pounds his chest. But it is so goofy, you have to hold the figure as if it were a Game Boy system in order to press both the buttons on his back in tandem. But holding him like that, he can't really interact with other figures while pounding his chest. So it both looks and feels half baked.

The game is actually decent (specially co-op), but they stopped supporting the "physical" version, and a lot of the content is only in the digital version.
So you're pretty much just buying and Arwing toy.
That said, it's a great Arwing toy for 11 bucks.

Just a follow up, but I went to another Walmart and they had their layout blueprints hanging up. They got 3 pegs lined up next to the 4” Mario toys. That's what I was afraid of when it was announced that it's just gonna be Animated Celebrity Cast Comedy Movie #512 with Mario characters slapped onto it. So far everything is showing that's exactly what it's going to be.

When they get that bad...I say no. I have some McFarlane figures that have super yellowed bubbles, and frankly there's no reason to pretend like they should stay on card to be "mint" at that point.

Yellow packaging is common on some plastics & expected already from some retro figures. Grading already accounts for some yellowing. Also those Mario Karts are getting rarer.

Just make a cut at her bicep, drill a hole in both ends, superglue in a rod in one end that's just barely the size of the bit so you have a nice friction fit and pop it into the other side and you have an instant swivel without needing to paint any joints. The only thing you need to be careful of is to not drill too deep that you're hitting the other joints inside the arm.
