I still own this fig. Its one of the few toybiz legends I kept because I love his size and sculpt. Once you pose him around, the ugly ball joints on the legs arent so bad. Plus that headsculpt hits that classic sweet spot so much more than the hasbro version

Idk about that. Family Matters one is serviceable, minus a few flaws. The neutral head is kinda goofy looking, and the helmet sits too high. Some people felt the Spider UK mold wasn’t beefy enough for him; I kinda disagree with that, but if they made a new one, I’d rather they use the Vulcan mold desu. FM Magneto’s feet are a little small and his hips have a tendency to loosen over time, so he can be hard to stand.

But by far the most egregious thing about him is that he released in 2019 and they reused the cape from the 2013 TRU exclusive Jubilee BAF Magneto, which is a terrible cape. And they had previously sprung to make a new one for the Magneto nobody bought, the Apocalypse wave one. So if we get a new one, no matter what, he needs a new cape. The old one is ass.

I feel this way as well. But for slightly different reasons. Spidey is my favorite Marvel character so I'm usually willing to pony up the extra money for an import of him or his related characters. Meanwhile for something like the X-Men or Avengers, I'm a fan of those but not as much of a fan as I am of Spidey. So the Marvel Legends versions are usually adequate for the most part for what I'm looking for. Meanwhile it looks like I'm stuck with Mafex if I want decent 6in DC figures since there's no real alternative.

Yeah, probably. If not, they'll make another Daredevil eventually (who knows how long that will take or if it will be the deco you want, though); Hasbro loves re-use and they just sculpted a new head that they can milk for another decade.

I was going to skip it but the Elektra looks pretty great and I've seen people use 20th Cap or Dormammu extra hands to give DD more expressive poses because the reds are fairly close. That adds a lot of value to me, as much as I'd love the gloves and boots to be different colors.

It's a pretty good figure imo. It uses the new Vulcan body which I really like. Wish they used it for Daredevil instead of the retro Spidey buck. My parents only gripe was the gloves and boots not having the sculpted lines filled in but that was nothing a Gundam Marker and 10 minutes of effort couldn't fix. Some people have been modding the butterfly joints to give him extra range but I haven't bothered doing that to mine. You can lookup tutorials on YouTube by searching for "marvel legends Vulcan butterfly mod". If you're looking for a comic style Black Panther you can't really do wrong with this figure.

Sorry but it's not happening on a regular release figure anymore. Only on deluxes and convention exclusives. That being said, it doesn't detract from the new BP being a good figure. I upgraded from the Walmart exclusive one from way back when and originally wasn't planning on getting the new one but I wanted to try out the new Vulcan mold and was surprised at how much I liked it. A lot more dynamic than the Bucky Cap mold and BP is a character that benefits from the extra range and articulation.

I believe it’s because Quantumania got bumped up on the release schedule, and now Hasbro is empty handed when it hits theaters. That’s also why we’ve seen Spiderverse stuff even though the movie doesn’t come out for months: the movie got bumped back, so the figures were ready first.

I’m guessing they have started budgeting Retro cards for 1 of the 2-3 Spider-Man waves every year, and this year they’re doing NWH, Spiderverse, and a comic wave. Spiderverse is the only one with no BAF so they use the retro cards. Just guessing though.

All three of the Apocalypses are decent figures. Retro TAS is probably the best bang for your buck right now. The only recent Onslaught was from 2015, and it kinda stinks.
