I hope the budget has been allocated well and Wave 3 of Evolution goes off well unlike the Wave 3 of last year. Seeing that Wave 2 is consistent of mostly retools and repaints with 5 new molds.

God it's most likely impossible because of the consistent dates from previous years but I hope Armada Prime is shown so they can show off Ultra Magnus at a later date rather than have 2 Commander Class toys announced and revealed at around similar times.

So while talking about Metalhawk, they all but confirmed they're not interested in doing Autobot Pretenders with their shells on like they've done the decepticons so far. Which probably means they won't do anymore Autobots period since few of them have any decent inner-robot like Metalhawk.

I mean it's going to be a tough sell if Metalhawk has a human face. It would be neat and unique but it wouldn't look right, and considering the recent face jobs from G.I.Joe that's probably for the best.

Prowl and Skyhawk both look great in robot mode but those alts are mid, Crashbar looks great in both, def getting these 3

Skyquake is amazing in both, i just hope we get it repainted as pic

This. It takes a few episodes to get used to it, but the CGI is really dated in a rather charming way; the models are expressive and the unnatural stiffness and inhuman movements actually make sense because they're robots. It's all just cheesy enough to come off as deliberate stylization as opposed to technological limitation.

Beast Wars doesn't look bad because of its budget - it looks the way it does because they were literally inventing the technology to create the show as it went along. People who like to shit on the CG either forget or are too young to know that BW and ReBoot were literally the first fully-CG animated cartoons EVER, and the innovations they made while creating the show are largely responsible for making everything that came later possible in the first place. True, they didn't have a movie budget behind them like Toy Story did, but they did damn good for what they had available at the time, so nitpicking about the show based on its appearance alone is like ranking on Gertie the Dinosaur because it's in black and white and has no audio; it was groundbreaking for the time it was created in. That aside, what makes Beast Wars isn't how it looks, but rather how
the character personalities and the way they interact with each other, which still hasn't been surpassed in any other Transformers media to date.
Now, Prime I'll give you - by the time that shit came out, CG had advanced leaps and bounds, so its issues are totally budget-based and not just tech limitations.

I think their idea of what "G1" means causes them to overcorrect. Many of the tweaks done are detrimental to the whole. Compared to the Prime guys though, he definitely sticks closer to the way his original version worked though, so I don't think in this case it is because they plan on releasing him as another guy. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if they make Triggerbot Override or Roadpig down the line, but those seem like they would be compromised.

They didn't break him down all the way in the renders for some reason, the arms are also on 5mm pegs and at the very least the rear wheel.

It's stranger that he seemingly doesn't come with a handle to make an axe from the rear wheel, as seen in the Evolution poster. Wonder if the not-Lockdown one will come with pieces for it.

That might be accurate in general with the slightly rounded but still boxy look, but the example motorcycle guys there had thin legs so following the first version of Prowl would be more consistent with them.
If they redid this as one of them, Sideways would be the closest. Ransack and Lugnutz both have only one thing that would be similar and would be massively oversized. Arcee is straight up "oh shit what are you doing" seeing the other Arcee that exists.

Nope, gotta ensure there's a basic vehicle body block to slap all your 5mm-compatible parts to.

Kinda agree with you there, if only for the basic feature of "changing the pants" for the Junkions. Also would feel on-brand for the Junkions to be casually torn in half.

I'm sure the head's not meant to be interchangeable. IIRC Scraphook's head isn't ball-jointed.
