I suspect our troll has a 4Chan Pass, even if he isn't publicly displaying it. It has recently come to my attention from other sources that mods and jannies tend to turn a blind eye to paying customers - and will ban people who try to report them, even if said customers are blatantly ban evading or using bots. Anyway, while I know it was mentioned in the last legit thread, I really hope we get Skyquake in his original colors - while the new toy looks nice, chunky, and fun, the colors they chose are just far too drab. Debating on whether or not I should grab him now or wait and hope for a repaint with the proper colors.

The only issue for Prime was his unwieldy ass that looked unposable, and the peg not looking great for him to hold his gun. I'm already pleased as punch with Siege Starscream, but I think another seeker would be really fun to have. Would actually prefer Skywarp over all-blue Thundercracker. I really like these. I don't think I'm interested enough to get anything above Core (outside of characters or versions of characters I really like), so I'm quite happy these look so solid. Obviously not perfect, but should be pretty fun. Fun weapons too.

I've had to pay roughly the same for Battlemasters when they first came out. They were on discounts not long after. So I hope the same can be said for them, shame not all of them are blast compatible judging by the Rhinox Gatling.

Because the person bribing you is essentially paying you to do the crime, so they're also criminally involved, and the fact you were willing to accept a bribe is what created the environment that allowed you both to be criminals in the first place. Laws aren't just about punishing crime, they're about preventing crime, so intentionally encouraging an environment that creates crime is, in itself, deemed a crime.

Got my old Insecticons and they look better than these new ones. Don't really collect autobots except for standouts and these barring the Junkion look like trash. Metalhawk is one of the worst looking TFs in ages and Crosscut is a repaint of the worst mould of 2022 so why anyone would bother is unthinkable to me. Proportions sure, but I prefer it that way. I want actual dynamic proportions, and honestly if Skyquake was proportioned like he is in the box art and the toy itself, he'd look like shit. Speaking of Skyquake, this went up on the designer Instagram
>The second image features an outline done by the great @marcelomatere when the prime redesigns were decided upon before we started Legacy. Since there was mixed feedback on Arcee and Bulkhead I decided to take a swing. My linework is featured underneath Marcelo’s , then my colored concept is featured on the next slide. Then the amazing Hisashi Yuki san from Takara Tomy had a great sketch with some renditions and suggestions. I reformatted my design and along the design development journey we both went.

One of the more likely characters, I'd argue they only reissued Siege Soundwave in the meantime so they have an excuse why there are WFC compatible tapes but no Soundwave.
The pessimist (or realist, depending on your view on Hasbro) in me says they'll just reissue Netflix Soundwave for SS86 when the exclusivity rights expire instead of making a better proportioned mold.

I think the reason why Legacy Tarantulas isn't a Transmetal is so that you can complete the season 1 cast of Beast Wars. They just look awful, period. They're legitimately worse looking than Cybertron Legends, or maybe even the Legends scale RID2001 figures. Even the combined mode so far looks quite lackluster. The torso was a solid start but look at how lazy that leg is.

but secondly that's an interesting idea, especially if it really was properly in scale. but I think they'd have to be smaller than core, mostly. Megatron could be a core, but the rest? tobehonest the biggest issue with beast wars scale stuff is they are deliberately a gradient of sizes to make the cast more interesting to look at.

I suspect the "dinoking" version will actually have goryuu turned around so the folded arms are in the back, giving him a different look from Grimlock (probably means the port will be on the other side too) given that his gun becomes a sort of toe

Honestly it's what I expect at this point. Everything in Legacy has been a poor attempt to please multiple groups while succeeding at pleasing nobody. Victory fans aren't gonna be happy with a Dinoking that doesn't resemble it in any way but the chest, especially at the size of somewhere between deluxe and voyager, and G1 afficionados aren't gonna be happy with either a Volcanicus that looks this dumpy, and certainly not with a wholly inaccurate Monstructor.

when I heard they were doing core dinobots I was excited at the idea of them going with all the other core guys but when it was leaking they combined my interest dried up fast. got my lio convoy! The lionpaw blade things are kind of awkward, but I found if I flip down his mane-forearm things and then twist the lion claw arm around until it's more like a big forearm attachment? that actually looks boss. I tried to take a picture but i accidentally didn't show how the lion-uppar-arm part actually looks good this way. fills it out.

i am VERY worried about the tiny thin elbow nacelle they attach to though.

There's so much production info on the Sunbow show (especially with how it relates to directly to Saint Seiya) that I'm surprised none of this has been translated and shared before.

The lion head is definitely the expression of a stoic, even scared lion, rather than a cool angry one, but I like it okay.
beast mode is definitely weaker. legs don't have great motion, tail is very short. but i love the way the torso forms, it's profoundly satisfying (aside from how fiddly it is getting the robot arms in place tucked under his neck)
will be displaying in robot mode, but I don't think I'll fully stop transforming him.

i also filled out the black around his eyes and the top of his skull, so I could do the same for the chest, and the chest would retain its 'stretched out dino head' look. instead of the stripes suddenly ending and starting again.

it's funny I was thinking, you could recycle this transformation and make some kind of ostrich or diatryma transformer. You'd just have to do something else with the chest, maybe fold the neck in half or something, and ideally you would raise the knees higher to the point that the robot arm is the tibia and foot.

Well, got this today for $25, and boy howdy it was not worth it. I'll leave it in lion mode, because I've seen Baltmatrix's old video where he broke his figure's arms off.
Worst part is the big spring loaded gimmick is revealing her human face.

sandstorm and nightprowler are 20 bucks each on amazon right now and only one left.. i hate the fomo that kicks in at times like this. but they are just not worth 20 bucks. these are 14 dollar toys -at best- and i know eventually a store is going to have a sale and i'll need them to get to free shipping or something.
