They're both from the same 1999 'Donkey Collection' line of figures. They're reasonably small, typically only articulated in two or three areas, and fun to mess around with. I really wish I had Krusha. Him and Klump are my favourite kremlings.

I don’t like any of the Mario interactive sets besides the one set with Bogmire because they don’t look very good like you say but I adore the Mystery Block set for resembling a mystery block, being a fun build, and housing levels so tiny they become charming.
In the case of the the Deku Tree it seems like a fun build and resembles the character, could take or leave the mini figs.

Ever since they got rid of most of their fees and revamped their shipping prices, they've been pretty darn good. Couple that with, as far as I know, them being the only game in town for borderline instant mercari purchases (my purchases go through in under 10 minutes every time). Twelve USD for fifteen day shipping is pretty nice too. I'm not sure what you meant by shipping to the US being $30 minimum though, $20 was, pre-change, their lowest shipping price for small items at 2-7 days delivery time from their country to yours (you're using USD so I assume you're american).

I was just having a brainfart; $30 is, for me, what they always list as the minimum rate with the default shipping method, even for things like trading cards. Of course other methods will be cheaper and faster.
I've been using Buyee for a while and am generally happy. Even when there were more fees, lots of them were easy enough to avoid or circumvent. The only time I was raped by shipping was a time when I bought about fifty laserdiscs, which I probably deserved.

But then you wouldn't want them in Lego to begin with, because no matter what they'll be blocky (even with constraction theyd look weird) whether they're in minifigure form, in Lego Mario form, or whatever other form. There are other options elsewhere. The appeal of Lego sets to most people are the Lego minifigures, and that's just the general form factor of the brand, with the rest of the world built around that.

I got a good bunch of Zelda and Splatoon amiibo, though I ended up buying NFC cards of the complete sets not that long after.
Outside of those a few favorites like Smash Daisy and I really do want to grab Pyra/Mythra.
Hope the store gets a Shulk reissue, even if he looks derpy nowadays.

Big. Expensive. I love Lego but all the Mario/Nintendo stuff so far has been so disappointing. I only got the Luigi's Mansion stuff. I really liked the K'nex figures because they were little K'nex blocky figures with quality molded heads and other parts. A good mix of visibly Mario and visibly K'nex toy.

Yeah all you have to do is own a 3d printer and learn how to print parts good. Learn how to slice them and put the supports in right. Know how to fix and clean the parts up. Then know how to paint and own all the supplies and paint to do so. Not to mention the clear coats and mattes.

All you need is a bunch of skills and a few hundred dollars worth of equipment and you can have a oot link. That's great if you want to go that route.

Personally I have l the figma links and that's good enough for me.

The articulation cuts on the new WoN are weird. Big rectangular blocks set into the limbs. No bicep swivel at all, limited butterfly shoulders. No boot swivels & toe joints that barely work well on the Zelda stuff. 1 accessory. Passabe for $11, technically better than the older versions(which wasn't a high hurdle to clear), but it feels like a new team of inexperienced people worked on these. They're also going for the "standard size" route, what with Samus being 6' & BOTW link being a 5' 2" femboy yet the toys stand evenly. Link & Zelda need a yellow paint wash on their hair, it's too brown.

its a good first start, especially in the US regular retail market where ANYTHING besides Mario has been missing despite these being massive massive franchises.

I'd expect or almost guarantee that a "wave 2" of these new WoN figures would include Isabelle/Tom Nook/KK Slider and some Inklings.

Lucked out and found a sole pair of Link and Zelda on the SMB pegs, they were the only ones out with like 10 Marios, no Samus. I don't think that's the reason. Jakks used the same iteration of her Varia Suit for the older figures. Plus, it's not the right suit, the Jakks figure is the MP 2 and 3 design not the MP1 suit. The older figures were always inaccurate because the Gravity and Phazon suits never appeared with the MP3 design. We may still get both Dread and Returns figures if they think there's enough incentive.

Out of curiosity, how are you guys doing with your Jakks toyline in terms of distribution? We got a big problem with Sonic where we pretty much only get 1 figure for any character that isn't Sonic. The rest of the box is just flooded with Sonic, making collecting in our line a pain in the ass. This is especially a problem in the 2.5" line where the problem is escalated to ridiculous levels.

At long last I got the newest wave at my local Walmart. My Zelda had some loose ankles and couldn’t really stand, so I used the legs of this KO twilight princess Figma to rework them a bit. She’s a tad traffic coned and less accurate, but she’s taller and stands way better. Maybe I’ll add some matte spray or a little paint here and there but for now I couldn’t be more pleased. Hoping to find some legs to swap out with BOTW Link to make him a smidge taller as well. Any ideas of a Figma character with these legs? Hoping to keep as close to khaki as possible, maybe skyward sword link?

Just a little before and after if anyone is curious; if you get her and adjust the neck height her proportions look way better. Her skirtpiece is now fully floating so I can get more articulation in the legs and waist, now I have forward and back since it’s on a ball joint rather than just a twist. I also threw links hands on her since I’m giving him the knock off hands, they’re tight to remove but they pop out with enough give. Full warning is they’re rubbery so they feel pretty easy to break. Simple as hell but well worth it if you’re willing to put in the elbow grease imo

Decided to do the matte coat. I just did the face and taped off the hair just so there was no chance of cracking or flaking when articulated and it’s a fucking night and day difference dude. $12 for Mr. Hobby super clear matte and $3 in cheap painters tape works WONDERS. Absolutely worth it if you’re willing to take the like, 10 minutes to do it

3d printed from a guy on YouTube. Had him paint the head and I painted the wings. Yeah it's the neca game razorclaw. The head isn't stuck on tight but it functions. I really want a meta Ridley figure or that one statue but it's so damn expensive for a statue.

Not really. There's that Toybiz Ganondorf, it's the only one with any "articulation" since it has a horse. I hate the Toybiz OOT figures. I think they are the ugliest shit trash ever and I couldn't even bring myself to buy them when they came out.

The only other OOT Ganondorf is the 5poa one from...some company. There's a 6" and a 3" version I think? But the sculpt is great, it's just not very mobile.
