Post figures that are up to "modern standards" but are just shit.

Mirage is the only tf wfc figure who doesn't resemble his classic self. He can't even mount the shoulder cannon.

This mold gives me mixed feelings. The big thing I hate about it is the fake chest. Like they clearly have shown in the past it's possible to do but they end up doing this instead. FFS Dragstrip looks better and he doubles as a limb.

The figure sorta warmed, but the crasher repaint is stupid rare and I'm still mad I wasn't able to get a hold of one despite the horrible Grandma looking head due to using the toy version Mirage head.

I will say the mold looked good as G2 Leadfoot.

Adding to this, Black Series and Transformers Red are also fucking awful lines, especially for the price. I really can’t fathom the grip Hasbro 6” has on the collector market. It seems like GI Joe is the only worthwhile line they produce.

They don't want to pay for the license of the actual Ligier so they made him a generic F1 car. And so they could reuse the mold for other F1 Transformers.

No one else is really making stuff in the same price range, really all it comes down to. Most collectors are poor and bad with money but also need constant dopamine, getting 1 good toy a month isnt good enough for them, they'd rather get 8 shitty ones that cost more all together than the 1 nice toy.

It's most likely for proportions and that for some fucking reason they refuse to use a similar race car model than the one G1 Mirage actually used.
Using the more modern F1 car would make the proportions all fucky and weird like with Classics so that's why they have to do the fake chest.
Still, why the fuck can't he mount his shoulder cannon? It's like one of the most essential aspects of his design.

Can confirm. It's also one of the few figures I'd say is worth shelling out for the reprolabels. The alt mode just looked way too bare otherwise. I'm usually really bothered by fake parts, but even that and the janky legs couldn't stop me from enjoying this guy.
