We’ve had droughts before. I figured this was coming after they put out two waves in a month, for some reason.
Obviously with the two yellows we’ve now completed Lost Galaxy and SPD.
But according to the leaks, we’ve got Turbo Red and RPM Yellow coming, along with an Omega Rangers 4-pack, and that Battleizer Wild Force Red.
Never mind that they’re still likely hoping to finish off Time Force, Dino Charge, and Dino Fury. Honestly I’m surprised they haven’t just made a Quantum Ranger yet, I feel like that one figure alone would wrangle more people back in.

All this being said, it does feel like GI Joe and Transformers take priority over PR.

What even makes you think they can do Sentai or Toku crossover stuff? Hasbro owns Power Rangers, not Super Sentai. I wouldn't be surprised if they explicitly can't make merchandise of Super Sentai stuff that hasn't been adapted into Power Rangers proper. I know people want Dairanger figures but even with r comic stuff, I doubt Hasbro is able to produce them.

Budget reasons. As stated it didn't happen until later,but The PR toyline was always more geared to the ranger releases than the Megazords. Bandai figured they'd sell more Megazords if they were cheaper. Bandai USA wanted to keep zords as ~$30 releases, Bandai Japan didn't have a set price or budget for their DX releases.

tried doing a quick fix up with a Gundam marker to make evil sigman, and just as I was nearly done, the black marker just dumped out all over the head and it was instantly, permanently stained into the plastic(best i can do is purple, I repainted the whole head but it still looks terrible, he really should have come with an extra head and chest piece for $33

Because they're a cool concept and a natural progression of the TMNT x MMPR crossover. The Turtles became the rangers, now the Rangers are mutants. I'm a big fan or both franchises and love crossovers, so it works for me.

That's the tradeoff.
You can either have a model kit that's a decent enough size to pose with your rangers and monsters, but it's small and you have to put it together, or you get Hasblow's overpriced, under quality controlled garbage that snaps the third time you transform it, but it's pretty big even if you don't have anything on the right scale to set it up against.

I never got why that was the case even back in the day, why was there NEVER a single monster on a decent scale to fight with a zord, even if they only had 5 POA between them?
Closest you ever got was Serpentera, but he wasn't exactly a monster in the Sentai, and still way out of proportion.

Pretty crazy that we haven't gotten another main MMPR villain since Finster was released a year ago. A Squatt & Baboo two-pack to finish the season 1 crew seems like a no brainer, and having Ninja Rangers, Metallic Armor, and Tengas without a Rito on the horizon is stupid.

Considering it's the 30 year anniversary, you'd think they would've announced LC figures for Ninjor, Bulk & Skull (punks, superheroes, cops, Purple and Orange Rangers, any version would do, really), Rito, Squatt & Baboo, and/or Master Vile by now. Maybe those non-transforming Retro figures for the Ninja and Shogun Megazords... It's only March, there's still time for them to announce and release something like that, right?

Just buy Bandai's old 8" figure. He scales perfectly with the LC villains, and will no doubt look much better than whatever turd Hasbro shits out. His design doesn't exactly lend itself to having super articulation, so being a glorified statue is fine.

The MSRP is $16.99 compared to a basic Dino Fury figure which is $11.99 right now. A standard Lightning Collection figure's MSRP is currently $24.99, with the MMPR Remastered figures priced at $33.99. I've said it before and I'll say it again, cheaper, basic figures is the perfect avenue for releasing monsters or even many main villains. Basic figure articulation is perfectly fine for monsters considering they are often barely mobile in the show, and many main villains do little more than stand around and talk. I want the Machine Empire badly, but I don't need a Lightning Collection Mondo/Machina/Sprocket when head and arm articulation is the most their designs allow for.

LC hips can't even get a full 90 degree split with drop down tech, the majority of figures which don't have drop down only get like 45 degrees. The basic figure swivel hinge hips allow for over 90 degrees, so the range of motion is far superior. They're also much sturdier than drop down LC hips which have been extremely loose or outright broken for a lot of people, and they move much more fluidly. I don't give a fuck about "muh gaps", it's a toy.

They already fixed White's helmet, how about fixing Red and Blue's to have the proper white trim? Or giving them the proper number of diamonds on their arms and legs? Or giving then belt buckles which aren't oddly recessed for some reason? There is a lot of room for improvement on those two. White is pretty much perfect once you get the free replacement head.

Picked up Senturion/Signalman on clearance. I'd have been pissed if I'd bought him at full price, even though I avoided the worst of the QC shit people are dealing with. Some weird sculpt issues like the sides of his feet, the bottom edge of his visor, and his earpieces. I made a whole list of paint apps he should've had, but the biggest are the black sections on his elbows and knees, the rest of the stripe on his helmet, and the silver/metal on his ankles.

I'm dumb enough that I'll probably still try to complete the Turbo and Time Force teams when they're on sale, but Hasbro is really disappointing even when they're trying nowadays.

On the Hasbro curve, I'm fairly happy with him at the price, but I picked up too many nice Figuarts recently to be generous enough. The only paint apps I really begrudge them for are the silver rims around the chest lights. The sculpting is there, but it's going to be a pain to do cleanly.

Being thrown off a cliff wouldn't kill a morphed Ranger. They fall out of Megazords relatively unharmed. I think the implication is, is that the "cliff" seen here is actually supposed to be a crater from Rita's blast, meaning that Rita just fucking vaporizes her.

Yeah. Either those are the models used for the Zap Zords just animated, or they made some high quality physical versions with actual paint jobs. But looking at that animation on the Sabertooth and the bits overall, I'm 99% sure this is CG.

Even if it isn't, the first ones used models as well. What's bad about that? These look pretty good minus Pterodactyl's honeycomb.

The models they use for sentai were of notably better quality than the toys Even on crappy old TVs people noticed that the Ninja Ultrazord just used Bandai toys. Hasbro's designs have more details, sure, but they don't really live up to the old props.

When Saban had to use the Dinozord toys for the Thunder Megazord transformation they went out of their way to give them a paint job to match the Toei models and they modified them to pull off puppetry manuevers in stock footage. Right here they just used ZAP toys and the lighting makes it look even shittier. Look how the Triceratops shines like it's just cheap plastic.

No, these don't look good. You can literally see the ports where the Mastadon plugs into the T-Rex. They probably used the models they had for the toys and just animated them, which is super lazy. I appreciate they're recreating the Megazord combination sequence but at the same time, after making fun of the ZAP Zords for months, just kind of sours the whole thing.

That's exactly what they did, and it looks like shit because the ZAP models are terrible, and the shoddy CGI work certainly doesn't help. Even with the Bandai America decals. the original toys used in the Thunderzord transformation sequence looked a thousand times better than this.

I always figured Rito was like the "secret weapon" due to his popularity and cool-ass design. You don't wanna blow your wad at the beginning, so you release a lot of less popular or less cool looking villains first. Only thing is a lot of lines failed before getting to him. Lightning Collection itself ain't doing too hot and people are really starting to turn on Hasbro after the pricehikes and mediocre quality, so I fear it may happen yet again.

There's Super7's ReAction figures. They're only 5poa, but they've made Rita, Goldar, Squatt, Baboo, Rita Putties, Scorpina, Pudgy Pig, Zedd, Zedd Putties, and Rito. There is also Bandai's old 5 inch Master Vile, which was way undersized for that line, so he scales great with the Shodo Supers.

The ReAction scale is generally 3.75", so depending on the character they can look a bit small for Shodo Supers. You can see most of them here and judge based on that. The Putties aren't pictured, but are the same size as the Rangers, so they're a but too small for the Shodo Super Rangers. The good news though, is that Bandai just announced their first Shodo Super footsolders. They'll be making a three-pack of Dairanger's Cotpotros, which never appeared in Power Rangers, but they said if they're successful they will continue making footsoldiers.

Cause paint/colors are an easy fix. Fixing the belt requires new tooling. Blue's belt is also wrong. It should be a white sheath which fully encloses the blade, not a gold holster with an open bottom. I wish someone would make replacement belts.

Tired, mostly. There have been so many Dino Megazord toys, and none of them really scratch the itch right. This one is trying to make it look too "cool" and dynamic, and I don't like the wings.

I guess what I really want is a clunky show-accurate Megazord. Super 7 kind of nailed the sculpt, but I know the poseability will be ass, and of course it won't come apart or transform. It wouldn't be easy to engineer the full transformation and gattai with the chonky proportions, but it would be awesome.

I’ll preface this by saying it’s possible to fix, maybe, but it would require cracking torso and then resealing it. Provided you somehow crack the torso perfectly, with no plastic bending around the seams or any stress marks, the inner mechanism for the crunch might still be busted. And then you’d have to glue it back together, and assuming there were any stress marks or plastic bend at all, you’d have to use clay to cover it up, which would be very tough to paint to match the silver used on the figure.

Honestly if I were you I’d just buy another one. If you bought it from an online store you can say it arrived busted and hope they have a replacement.

S7's strength is in monster sculpts and not having to worry about articulation, unsurprisingly this one turned out good. Their goldar would be great too if not for the garbage plastic they used. I didn't break mine but its very obvious I would if I tried to switch the wings without heating it up and I had to dremel the alt head to get it to swap without breaking the neck.

That cost more than double even when it was on turbo sale. SoC is great but is not a good comparison in the slightest, plus the individual Zords weren't the best to mess around with last time I uncombined mine. The old solo Bandai one I unironically love for some reason.

My biggest problem with the S7 figure from an aesthetic standpoint is the Dragon Shield. The shape of the diamond is wrong, all the spikes should be touching the diamond, the shoulders slouch too much, and the neck hole is too big. For a $55 figure it's nowhere close to being on-model.

IIRC there were several different dragon shield props, weren't there? Notice how in this pic the diamond is wider and the spikes do not touch it (like the Super 7), but also notice that the shield has a flat bottom (which is unlike the Super 7 OR the pic you posted).

So..."accurate" is probably difficult when you're going off a show that had multiple copies of each suit/prop, and often they had small differences.

Nobody is taking the shity American shield into account when talking accuracy. Super7 was clearly basing their shield on the original Sentai version, and they failed spectacularly. When such a good reference photo exists there's no excuse to get it so wrong.

I mean, taking into account the “shitty American shield” is taking in accuracy. It’s Power Rangers, not Super Sentai. If it was created within the show, “Mighty Morphing Power Rangers”, then it has a level accuracy to go off of regardless of your feelings. I think both Hasbro and Super 7 gets aspects right and wrong about the shield but it’s not huge deal to begin with.

How can you say this when the shield mostly matches up with the American shield? Are you trying to pretend this is a "task failed successfully," like they just so HAPPENED by CHANCE to fuck up the shield in such a way that it was mostly accurate to the US design? This has not been true for me. The last two times I tried to get replacements for broken figures, it was for waves that were recently released and still abundant everywhere, and the figures I was trying to replace weren't even popular picks from said waves. There is no reason why Hasbro shouldn't have had them in stock. In one instance, I even specifically stated "if you cannot replace this exact figure it's ok, but please don't send me figures X or Y from this wave as I already own them." Two weeks later I get figure Y in the mail. Feels almost malicious.

Stop being obtuse. The lack of the flat bottom is evidence enough that the sculptor intended to match the Japanese prop, and NOT the American one. Any resemblance to the American prop is irrelevant, especially when it doesn't even do that properly. Having it "mostly match up with the American shield" doesn't mean shit if it's still inaccurate. And don't try to argue that they combined both versions on purpose. The final result is a sculpt that's accurate to nothing

In addition to the other issues listed, none of the males have visible necks from a straight on view, and I don't think sitting the helmets higher would fix this issue without it looking like they have giraffe necks. The issue is with how the torso was sculpted and where the gold collar was placed.

I think the thought process has been since he committed suicide he'd be canned. It's not like he killed his family then himself though. Fans love him too much to not be utilized. I guess it's one of those instances where a company likes making money by giving fans what they want so both sides benefit.

i opened the rest of my new figures and I realized DT yellow's torso was backwards, heated it up and reassembled it, but the hips are deformed due to the heat, i have to buy 5 figures on Amazon to purposely return them all due to missing pieces and errors
