I cannot fucking transform my Skyquake to jet mode at all. I'm watching videos and the nosecone is supposed to pop into his shoulders and a tab fit over his chest, but this just doesn't work. I can see the two little tabs inside his upper shoulders but the tabs on the nosecone can't tab into them. What the fuck am I doing wrong? How can I transform this piece of shit?

Had it when I was a kid and I liked it a lot. Fun to play with. The arm is spring loaded on a trigger to scoop and the legs and other arm are pretty well articulated for the time. Waist joint and a ball joint head as well. The alt mode is like 2 degrees of separation from an action master elites alt but it did the job

Funnily enough I have the blue-gun metal tint of the leader class Megs from the Bayformers continuity.
He's not bad, but is quite clunky. Got decent articulation though. Much prefer his Cybertron incarnation compared to that though.

Or G2/Shattered Glass Megs. (Even if they are the only ones I own from recent years.)

There are some changes between the actual toy and show models, even if they are mostly toyetic to the point of including things like buttons. Things like surface detailing and joints are the most common because actual robot lifeform, but then some definitely feel like the proportions in robot mode were fiddled with or have gaps in the actual toy covered with panels. Also the infamous case of Leobreaker where the show design and the release ones are different because budget.

A vintage toy store a couple towns over. Usually any old collectible shop will have transformers but you can always call ahead to make sure you don't go to one for nothing. It's a shame, theres a huge one in my town with a great selection but the owner is an asshole and charges you whatever a figure has sold for on ebay lately. No prices on stuff on the shelf.

Okay, after a long road of mind games, I finally found out how to make a Generations Select God Ginrai work: It won't just be an extensive retool of the Evolution Optimus Prime, but also combine a few aspects from the Legends Super Ginrai, like the arms of that toy being able to still integrate with the panels from Evolution Optimus's arms. The core body used for Orion Pax could be modified a bit to accommodate a modified Ginrai (where its back piece and legs are modified to act like a proper Godmaster/Powermaster) and store both the Ginrai head and helmet, then the faux grille parts on the trailer will be cut out to make the Powermaster show when performing the Double On, along with minor modifications on the trailer to attach its autocannons. Finally, the God Bomber's frame parts will be modified to attach in the Evolution Prime trailer frame, and the trailer's feet will have minor modification adding clips to hold the feet extensions. Not a simple mod job, but it has to work.

Managed to get a complete Armada Hoist for cheap with his minicon. Holy shit he's cool. Pretty poseable for the time period and he's so BIG. I can't believe this chunky lad sold for like, $10/£10 back in the day. Only issue I have is one of the shoulders is slightly wonky in vehicle mode but you can stop the ratchet between detents and have it look right.

TF collectors were the least demanding of show/fiction accuracy for the longest time. JP mecha collectors were asking for animation accuracy way back in the 90's, action figure collectors got fiction accuracy around the 2000s, the first attempt at toon accuracy in Transforming TFs is 2016 with MP Ironhide/Ratchet/Shockwave and Beast Wars Primal.

To that anon who was asking about the Armada Hoist mold, my Universe Ransack came in the other day. He's not perfect, but he's definitely one of those molds where the charm, novelty, and pure sense of style override any actual flaws. The shame of it is that he's really only some thigh swivels away from being a MUCH better figure, but oh well. Simple, chunky transformation, fun gimmick, and tons of personality.

alt mode's a little scrappy around the rear, but still full of charm. I like how the hip joints are dressed up to look like stone grinders, and how the waist serves double-duty so the body can swivel on top of his treads. I love how thick and chunky all the plastic is from this era, and it feels like there are more metal pins, joints, and engineering at work in his right arm than in an entire modern line, combined. And at 20 years old, every single one of his joints is still tight and sturdy. Truly, a relic of a different time.

I was so excited for a Roadbuster but he is AGRESSIVELY shit. The fact that the arms can't secure in and easily stress and break already makes him terrible, but every other thing about him is compromised as well. He's hollow, lanky, has poor use of ratchets and friction joints, and so much more. I like the design of the vehicle and the fact that he came with a lot of guns, but that's it. (I actually have two of them because one of mine broke so if we ever get another one the new one can inherit his predecessor's guns.)
