How do you transform Skyquake's nosecone? Yes, I have the landing gear out. The nosecone will not fold up over his head and peg into his chest. It DOES work when his head is removed entirely, but while the head is on there is no amount of force that allows it to fit into the tabs its supposed to. What am I supposed to do? How is the head supposed to be positioned?

Does anyone else find Armada Megatrons lips to be off putting his chest is also abit too broad and why the hell does he have fixed shoulders man how expensive could it be to design it like siege primes shoulders but with tank treads.
Beachcomber is perfect but the armguards blocking his hands from holding certain accessories is odd , Devcon is too skinny imo. It's been almost 30 years and we still don't have a Copy Convoy in the right colors.

now that you mention it, the lips do look funny.
what do you mean? i'm not familiar with siege prime.. how did his shoulders work? by 'fixed' you mean like they stay in place while the arms move under them?
his chest is very broad, but I think a bigger issue is his abdomen is so narrow. and his skinny little arms attach wayyy out at the edge of his sub-pauldrons, instead of closer to the body, so basically he could barely touch his hands together in front of him.

His facesculpt just looks kind of wonky in general. It LOOKS like his arms don't sit as far back from the shoulder pads as Laser Prime's do and he's better proportioned in general so it may not be as much of an issue on Megatron. But yes the facesculpt has been bothering me a bit. Chest does seem a bit wide to me too but that bothers me less than his facesculpt.

What I mean is why couldn't they have designed the shoulders to work like the original toy where the tank treads also move along with the shoulder. Plus they didn't paint the shoulder flap hinge grey and now his shoulder tank treads look really bad with the purple and green and of course the fixed shoulders also reduces articulation in an area the original toy had no issue with.

Looking up all revameals, I'm not too excited:

-Armada Prime looks phenomenal.
-Willing to buy Armada Megatron, but his green and lips don't look right. Also, what's up with the arm attachment for the turret?
-Not much attachment to Devcon and I didn't like the SS 86 Blur mold so I might get it in clearance, or not.
-Nemesis is high clearance only.
-Satisfied with POTP Beachcomber, so I don't feel like getting another.
-Axelgreese is a retool of Scraphook, so that's a skip.
-Black Lio is a maybe.

Not saying I dislike the Quake we got, but there's been some favoritism on the Decepticon side compared to the Autobots. You can't even get a full Hasbro set for the movie guys because they only released a Firebolt in Siege, you need the Japan lg releases to complete them.

On an unrelated note, I really wish the SS86 Kup and Blur were better, new heads would do wonders and but no company gave a shit, so they're straight up inferior to the tr/lg versions (aside from ankles and having normal guns).

honestly it looks less cost-cut than present ones, it's just... well sure it was hard to get all of those to combine and look good, but SO many combiners in that era, and I mean a LONG number of years, were so damn spindly and disproportionate. They are endearing retards, but I'd like the cassette combiners some day. Getting two cassettes to turn into a core-class guy would be phenomenal. A "here's his faction and one singular role" is good for a blank slate, but same could be said for comic/toy-only randos as well as anyone you wanted, really. I feel like all of this would be solved if they figured out a way to make the shoulder pads swing forward and back, but ALSO get the actual arms/shoulders to move independently (so you don't have the shoulders moving back unintentionally when you swing the arm forward). Nah it was a third person shooter game, a really good one at that. The best there was until either RotF or WFC (depending on how much you like RotF which I think is not bad a solid 7 but isn't as good as the Armada game)

Just talking in general but I wouldn't call the game the best source material of Armada, Prime doesn't have his Super mode and has blue eyes, Hot Shot and Red Alert doesn't have their activated gimmicks in the game (instead it was just a slo mo bullet hell mode) and the Decepticons were for the most part bigger than the Autobots which felt unbalanced.

Seriously wish we had more footage of the original prototype Armada game before it was scrapped and rebooted during production. The powerlinx gimmick was more involved in that early version which seemed to be a platformer with shooting mechanics. Still prefer the final game but some more effort could be put into the powerlinx mechanic.

Consider in the WFC/FOC game Nemesis was created from the left over of Trypticon.
While the toy has no direct connections to the games nor Trypticon, I would have it so that in the bot mode she would have a tail for homage and balance reason with having smaller feet/heels

To be fair, fembots from Hasbro are always lacking in the fem part and just look like skinny normal transformers

Honestly my only issue with her is that she's got the same "you can see the structural bits" like Ark suffers from (such as her shoulder struts). They both feel like they could have been done better with the whole "freedom to design anything at all for a robot" thing. I like the nose cone into shoulder towers, and I can understand the splitting lower part being a backpack since that doesn't offer much of anything anyway. But turning a big rounded Floro Dery vehicle into STICC doesn't feel right. I'm not asking for her to be some overblown hourglass (we have Maverick and Jeetdoh for that), but she just could have had a more substational torso, and maybe meatier upper arms. The partsforming axes are usless to the point of hilarity, and I feel they only exist to justify "can be removed with excessive force" safety measures. Heck, I'd even have been fine without the two shin guns because I feel giant robots that big get by on just BIG SMASHY.

With how they've raised prices, it should be all of them, honestly. If they can produce the quality of these characters that may end up one-offs (though there are definitely potential for remolds/repaints) they can do the same for characters like OP or Starscream who will get countless repaints.

But to answer your question, I'd like to see some super modes get made, like a Deluxe priced Armada Prime with a core robot and his trailer. It'd probably more likely be Voyager, but who knows. I do wish Cores would catch on such that it warrants more figures in that scale through other classes.

I mean, don't get me wrong, Tarn looks posable enough that any Bludgeon from him would be able to pull off some dynamic Japanese samurai poses, and the IDW design he's supposedly being retooled into isn't bad, but I kinda wish they'd have done an original mode merging his G1 tank and pretender designs, something a bit more bulky like traditional samurai armor. I think he could work pretty well as a leader.

So what are his options for recolors? Wierdwolf seems to be off the table. Maybe BW Wolfang or Cybertron Snarl depending on if the details favor the shell or inner robot. Those guys are shaped out rather differently though so I feel like whoever the filler recolor is done is going to do poorly.

I had this idea of a core class crab Octopunch based on the inner robot and a voyager that's based on the shell that turns into a submarine with space to slot the crab/robot inside but I know Hasbro doesn't give a fuck about aquatic vehicles these days. Metalhawk's pretty nice. Haven't found any issues with mine, just that the knee hinge is a bit lower than Cyclonus. My only major complaint is that his weapons use slightly larger pegs, while his hands use slightly larger peg holes, making weapon switching annoying.

Over reacting much? its only issue was the arm flap, there are way worse toys out there, like kingdom scorponok, poor guy looks awful in both modes and has to balance on one leg on beast mode.

Same way Hasbro blocked Bandai from bringing Machine Robo Rescue to the west by trademarking the international name 'Machine Robot Rescue' that Bandai was going to use. Bandai will make model kits of Deadguy and Scrappile first as P-Bandai and in those colours and sue anyone (i.e Hasbro) who would use them.

scorpion mode looks fine, robot mode is a real shame though.
you should be able to get the scorpion mode to put its feet on the ground, it's likely you didn't fold the robot leg in all the way. it's tricky.

i love generations waspinator, but I do think they could have improved him. kingdom waspinator went too far the other way. one too beefy with too thin wasp legs, the other too shrimpy with too thick and featureless wasp legs.

Kinda like POTP altmode better, the cage is too low on the LGEV, new one has better botmode but then again the old one was caked on paint while the LGEV has a mostly unpainted torso.

also beast wars is REALLY hard to nail down colors for, not only were they all often very vague and gradiented colors, but they looked different in different lighting, lots of them had glossiness or at least phong shading applied

Huh, if I snag a Krok and the new Skullcruncher I can do both a crocodile family photo with them and retro Headmaster Skullcruncher as well as have a dedicated alt-deco Action Master Krok with Gatoraider. Shame the upcoming beast combiners are not to my taste.
