on this topic, why is is Monkey Kid not just a Ninjago spinoff but somehow Arctic, Space, Adventures, ect are all under the City theme? Due to the fact that City is a somewhat grounded and realistic theme, it means we'll never get weird abstract space again, just stuck with soulless NASA crap.

You made me second guess myself for a second lol. According to wikipedia it's, very loosely, inspired by some old 16th century Chinese texts. So I guess Monkie Kid is Lego China whereas Ninjago is Lego Japan? Still, I feel like the themes look practically identical as an outsider who's never bought any. Which brings me back to my original question, why does Monkie Kid get it's own theme but something like Space is relegated to a boring shadow of it's former self in a city subtheme.

Difficult to say. Mattel also has a Mario license if I'm not mistaken. So the double dip from Nintendo hasn't been too much of an issue there. But they don't make construction Mario sets. It is noteworthy that Nintendo had a K'Nex license for Mario recently. And didn't have a problem dropping that construction toy line for lego. It wouldn't be too much of a leap for Lego to get a Pokemon license eventually. But I would expect Nintendo would wait for the mega license to expire. And that was renewed just last year.

Part of me is like "this might be a super rare box in the future!!"

what's the best way to safely disinfect lego in bulk? Get several buckets, fill them with soapy water, maybe some laundry detergent as well. Use gloves to take all the pieces apart and put them in the first bucket. Stir them around with a stick, let them spin for a bit. Maybe you could rig up a technic contraption to stir it if that's your thing. After a bit take the parts and put them in the next bucket. Let the dirty water run off them first though. Once you transfer all the parts, tip out the dirty water and stir the next bucket. Continue like this until the water isn't dirty anymore, then do the same thing with pure water a couple of times to rinse the suds off. Then leave them on a towel to dry.

The only parts that are specialized are its running board/bufferbeam(it's one piece), the steam chest, and the wheels. Warm water is fine, just don't use hot water. You could probably use bleach. I've tried bleaching the colour out of pieces and it didn't work at all. Maybe don't go too heavy on it just in case, and it's probably not good to use on prints.

I think an Imperial Officer torso would work pretty well. There’s even a light grey one, but it was exclusive to the newer version of the death star so it’s pricey now. A cheaper option would be the imperial crew technician or something like that, but they’re more of just a jumpsuit, but they’re not too expensive.

Found this at my local Walmart while looking at the LEGO section with a friend. I purposely went to the oldest lady by the self check-out. I told her it wasn’t scanning on the machine, but on the Walmart app it said it was $100. She tried to scan it, then checked the app and saw I wasn’t lying. She did something where you can add an item that isn’t scanning and manually type a description and price. She typed “Lego Star Wars”, the price, and I was at the part where I pay. She says, “that’s so weird that it isn’t scanning. My little tablet thing says we have 9 in stock and 3 on the floor.” Then my friend goes, “if there’s more in the back can I get one?” Then the kind old lady calls over a manager, he takes the set away, and says that the set hasn’t released and is unable for purchase. Look, it’s a complicated relationship with the kids. They love their actual dad more than their mom even though he’s a piece of shit. We had to go to court and pay tons for a lawyer to try to get more custody and the judge ended up just leaving it as 50/50. But during this, the lawyer that was working closely with the kids got access to their texts and there was texts of them shitting on me for no reason, just making fun of me. They had sent pictures of my lego collection and city and the dad apparently found that hilarious. I could honestly care less about them, they don’t wanna spend time with me anyways and they barely wanna spend time with their mom. She just buys them things and it makes them happy enough. I just stay out of it. I never tried to act like they’re my kids and I don’t really care.

I feel like you’re just baiting at this point and this is the last time I’m gonna talk about this because it’s gone so off topic, but when we first got together I was excited and wanted to be a parent to her kids but they showed time and time for several years that no matter what I did they just don’t care about me. I was actually in my dark ages, so I honestly didn’t have a lot going on and would devote most of my free time after work to spending time with all of them as a family. Their dad is manipulative to say the least and lives with his parents but they would rather be with him because he just lets them stay up all night, miss school whenever they wanna play sick, and even check them out. We got a letter that they were both absent too many days and that a truancy officer would have to look into it if they missed any more days. They will never see me as a father and that’s why I eventually just stopped trying to go the extra mile, I do still try to be nice to them and help them with things, but at the end of the day I know they’ll never see me as their father. I get that my previous posts made it seem worse, but I’ve just had a long day and haven’t gotten to sleep yet so I’m a little on edge.

Tweezers, preferably jewelry ones since they have no grip streaks which can ruin stickers, spray watered down isopropyl on the part before applying so it doesn’t stick right away due to static, fiddle with it until happy.
Even after years of dealing with stickers i still screw up one or two for every 5 speed champion sets due to stickers just being bad sometimes, you can just request them free of charge from lego atm but i think they are planning on adding them to pick a brick.
