I guess these are cool if you already collect the O-ring scale Joes but they really don't appeal to the other half of the collab at all. What they should have done was mix it up where some are this type of figure to go with GI Joes, but others are the usual Generations scale bots that are just Transformers.

Well, that's cool. Might get him just for that - I got both the Year of the Goat Masterpiece Ravage and Buzzsaw (or is he Laserbeak? Can't tell) from a yard sale a while back for 50¢ each, and it would be nice to actually have a Soundwave to plug them into - plus I finally get a Howlback (or a stand-in for her) as a bonus. Prime, Bee, Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, Ironhide, Ratchet, RC... Basically the only ones who seem to get any toys anymore.

Good being an actually interesting transformation that isn't just a shellformer with a robot already inside. I collect transformers more for the puzzle toy rather than any interest in specific characters or lore.

SS86 starscream goes on clearance for voyager price or less. You get ER Starscream (which is a decent voyager) with a better deco and opening hands, and his coronation gear and chair as a bonus. The chair goes great with almost any Decepticon leader, except Starscream, who has a hard time sitting in it. Also makes a good companion to Kingdom Galvatron.

I wish they would bring back the class system like they had in energon and cybertron. Where they had a wide range of figures and different pricing brackets. Now its either a 30$ figure or 50$+ figure. And the quality of current figrures do not justify the prices. Compare the build quality to any figure from g2 to unicron trillogy, and you'd think the modern toys were bootlegs.

Deluxe, Voyager, Leader have been the staples for almost 20 years.
We lost Supreme, but gained Commander and Titan, and Scout just changed to Core.
Only thing we've actually lost has been Ultra class.
Of course that's all in name only. A modern leader class toy doesn't nearly stack in sheer plastic quantity to, say, Cybertron Prime

Fellas... it's a story with complex futuristic inventions and robotics. Its like with the headmasters/power masters/target masters. Spike and Daniel most likely have cybertronian tech in their bodies. Joints and specific parts of the bodies surgically enhanced to allow for transformation. Spike and Daniel eventually become Headmasters themselves, so its not too far fetched of a suggestion.

I mean, he's not bad - certainly better than what we got with Slug; my biggest issue with it is that it doesn't really have much for a transformation - you just lie him down and fold his arms up. I get that some people like to prioritize 'cartoon accuracy' or only care about something if the robot mode looks accurate enough, but for me, part of the appeal of owning a transforming toy is the actual transformation itself, and this guy just isn't very impressive (even if it's accurate to how it was in the movie).

It makes no sense for it to be "the spider's mouth parts", because the robot mode uses a completely different model than the spider mode.
Also, a lot of the "debate" is because when this is mentioned, many people think it's the overlapping pelvis and thighs that are being discussed, and that they look like pussy lips. That's not it, it's just the overlapped pelvis and thighs. BA's robot model has a lot of clipping in the hip area.
What BA DOES have, and what was delibrately added to her model, is a tube right in the middle on her crotch. It flashes just the same as the added skeleton parts that were also added for the scene. That's a vagina. Not the outer pussy, the actual internal vagina passageway. I know Beast Wars had SOME sort of look behind the scenes at some point, because I remember as a kid my parents calling me out of my room saying "look, they're talking about Beast Wars on this show!" btw the whole reason he and Bob have shouder pads, aside from helping to hide the shoulder "ball joint" in the models, is because McCarthy also worked on Judge Dredd. Mainframe's whole style is similar to the futuristic look of Mega City One, though it comes across more in the concept art than how it had to be simplified for early CGI constraints.

Less cool looking than the original, but identifiable as him. Transformation feels a bit odd since it is apparent where things go together, but some things like his arms/back of the motorcycle don't quite seem right. Wheels are odd since sometimes they spin really well, but other times they don't. I wonder if they are getting stuck on something on the inside.

>Bomb-Burst
Looks cool as a robot, has general articulation. Transformation is auto-pilot as you would expect for a small toy. Origins are in full display as a vehicle, but he lacks the bio-mechanical charm that Iguanus did. Arms also don't secure into place. Generally, he feels like a disappointing followup.

>Armada Starscream
Mine had a misassembly of the leg, but it was easy to fix. Bigger than the 30th one for sure. Compared to that which took the look in own direction, this one is a lot closer a remake. The direction that the hands come out seems less useful for sword posing. Surprising it wasn't a completely 360 rotating one. The sword looking like an unfurled wing while not being one is extremely goofy. Star Saber being where he has Mini-Con connections is interesting. A bit more complex, but it isn't that much of an improvement.

>Dragon Megatron
Quite handsome. Lots of neat details going on with him. The dragon accordingly also has a lot of neat presence. I really like his wings. He doesn't change that much between robot and dragon mode.
9/10.
Also bought Marvel Legends Spiral, but she wasn't on sale and isn't a Transformer so that is outside the scope of this.

Overall, I ended up buying a lot of things that worked out to just a bit less than standard retail because of the lure of sales. They are probably fine, but overall not feeling it. Maybe I've lost interest in Transformers.

I feel that way sometimes but then I keep getting excited for new ones. You probably just need to narrow your focus to only the best and most appealing ones..

Something I thought of a while ago by taking the reasoning of both Mojoverse and Junkion being both TV land was extremely blatant. It was a six-armed woman who more of less looks correct in terms of detailing down to having the arms not being symmetrical, but her silver and blue color scheme doesn't match the planet. Serves the one who rules the airwaves of Junkion (presumably by abusing technology from something like Quintessons that crashed on the planet long ago), with a grudge. Would say a lot things that seem strange at first, but make sense later in context. Her personality would switch to more direct anger when near Wreck-Gar, which confuses him since he is a person that wants to just help his people and is a luck sponge. There would be a late reveal that she was an Earth-native (Being named Ricochet might be overkill) that was abducted and rebuilt to Junkion standards at a point in the future by her own hands but not will.
Anyway, the important thing was I imagined something like a 6-wheeled wheel dozer/garbage truck kind of vehicle with a wheel in each arm in robot mode, but when I tried drawing it it looked far too bulky so I gave up. Amusingly Axlegrease has the "female, irregular colors" thing in common while the rest is way different.

Arcee can get away with it cause "Arcee" and "The arcee triplets" can reasonably be different characters, and I don't think the arcee triplets even got lines.

There are always issues with any vehicle that's largely hollow. but I applaud you sticking with her theme and remembering that she's more than just "that badass from Children of the Atom"
And you're even tying it in to Junkion well, that really works. Also yeah, garbage truck would also be hard to unfold into a slender lady. I think ... maybe a helicopter would be the best bet.

And it does that even cheating with fake wings for robot mode, the tank tries to be slavish to the cartoon with the exposed fake cockpit, but then it has the wrong turret and tread models, the turret should be rounder and the treads expossed, those parts aren't even used on the other modes, so theres no excuse to be off model.

TLDR: either gave us realistic modes or go full cartoon slavish.

Swapping his head for something that looks like Chris Pratt's and pairing him with a head-swapped Kingdom Dinobot painted to look like Blue for the third Transformers x Jurassic Park crossover seems like a decent future use of the mold. There's no way they aren't doing a raptor one anyway, and since Blue is basically the new mascot, pairing her and Owen-who-turns-into-a-motorcycle seems like a sure thing.

I've done that with some cheap bookends I found at St Vinnie's, just decorative blocks of wood with flat tops. For the shelves I have I like to have the back row up high enough that the heads of the figures in front of them don't overlap with the back row's feet, it helps break up the visual clusterfuck we've all delt with.

They based it on the terrible first Masterpiece Bumblebee-- right down to using the wrong color. The only thing nice you can say about it is that it looks better than that MP toy. If you want, there's also a version sold in a Target exclusive 4 pack that was the just the Cliffjumper mold with a Bumblebee head. It at least gets the colors right, and there's probably a lot more people hoping to pawn it off since it came with toys people actually wanted.

Pick up the Origins Bee from the Buzzworthy line - decent proportions, good colors, and an alt mode that is simultaneously more interesting than his penny racer one while still being technically canon.

Anon was, for whatever reason, characterizing the theoretical CEO as a decidedly non-CEO type of caricature, and now that I think of it he did suggest he's playing the race card, so maybe he did mean black people. Again, not the typical CEO, so I don't really get his point.
I then just clarified that basically everyone who talks that way is not really into industry, so his characterization made no sense.

Because ever since the ROTF Bludgeon, people just want a voyager Bludgeon. He was leader of the decepticons for awhile, and IDW made him big and imposing.

And if you go with a voyager class, you're GONNA need to have potential for retools or remolds or you just won't get approved unless you're a top selling character.

So tarn and bludgeon sharing a mold was decided.
So far, of the voyagers, only jhiaxus, the JUST announced junkion voyager, and Armada starscream haven't gotten a remold or repaint.

and there's a lot of reason to expect a starscream retool or repaint down the line.
