do store tags affect the value of old sets that are still unopened?. I have some 2012 polybags that go for like 50 each but they have the address of the place I bought them from and I don't want the person to burn down the store if collectors don't typically like that kind of thing.

what is safe to use to get them off?

I am really bothered that so many sets look like mocs. It makes them not only not fun to build but they are just designed to look nice. I hate fact most sets with minigis barrely have place for them.
The worst part that leaks into normal sets as well. Both HP and Ninjago sets has this problem.

I used the bottom left image as map art in my Minecraft server to advertise the swimming pool at Auschwitz Holiday Resort. Along with the pool we also have a basketball court, Ferris wheel, shower blocks, guest lodges and the Holocoaster.

I recently purchased the Ninjago Jay Mech and Lloyd mech. I think of the two, Lloyd is the better mech because it's build holds together better and it has a larger range of posability.

But on the other hand, I think Jay's mech looks cooler. I like the Evangelion look of the design and the sneaker feet are kinda neat.

I know some people think the geta sandals on the Lloyd mech look dumb, but I like them, and you can always omit parts from the build to make them regular sandals or make it bare foot.

So far Indy's return to LEGO is like a wet fart - 3 sets where one of them is collector display piece. This is embarassing compared to 2008 Indy sets.

Just to be pedantic, the golden idol escape scene (w/e it's called) is only priced $150. At that price point and considering the focus on play features, it's more of a flagship kids model that also looks nice on display.

Personally I really like the whole line and think it strikes the right balance. It's nice not having to take out a second job to collect entire themes anymore. Lego is basically cannibalizing their sales by forcing some of us to have to choose between sets within the same lines.

Terms

The following are terms that are used in discussions about LEGO products:
Catch22 - No-win situation, usually an unsolvable problem.
Clones - Building blocks which are not LEGO brand, such as Mega Bloks.
Community - An online place where people hang out and engage in discussions.
Dark Age - Period of time during which a person is not interested in LEGO products.
Juniorization - Describes inclusion of highly specialized parts in LEGO sets instead of several already existing elements which can be assembled into the same configuration. The idea is to make it easier for younger children to build the sets but it is criticized by AFOLs since it is difficult to use these parts when building alternate models and MOCs.
Sockpuppet - Another account created by the same person pretending to be someone else.
Stud - Small round peg which appears on top of most LEGO parts and is used to connect to other LEGO parts.

Fuck! I gave 10s of thousands of Lego away for jewish fairytales. The only consolation is that there was no way the kids in that church would be getting that amount of Lego from their parents. Being willing to play with your children (your kids, your nieces/nephews, grandkids, etc.) and collecting things for fun shouldn't be seen as childish. One form of playing can be replaced by another, each appropriate for a different stage in life. That's what Lewis meant. I'm still into Legos because my nephew is. He needs a good cop uncle to counteract (without countering the authority of) his bad cop parents. Plus I like reminiscing about when I played with them as a child. There's nothing wrong with either, at least in my reading of holy writ.
