Proportions aside, why is the head so bulbous? Them getting the size in relation to the body wrong is one thing but her hair looks like a sphere with a tiny little face peaking out of the bottom. You can see in >>10556586 that despite the head being the same size or even larger than April O'Noggin in the Photoshop, 2Big's face is much smaller. It really is just just her boofy hair. And it being so much cheaper than the Buzzmod with extra faceplates has me sold.
Hopefully the increased supply of 2b figures causes the Bring Arts to drop in price so I can avoid the late tax on it.

To be fair it's also the best playing Yoko Taro game. The original Nier is pretty janky (or at least it was until the remake) and the Drakengard series are almost unplayable; they have a cult following in Japan because the narratives are just that good, but the gameplay has always been shit.
Automata hit it big because it was a Yoko Taro game that was actually enjoyable to play. 2B's delightfully meaty leotard-clad buttock helped of course, but Kaine didn't make Nier blow up despite prancing about in a babydoll and lowback panties, so...

Automata was also developed by Platinum at around the height of its popularity, when anyone who dreamed of their favorite IP getting a spin-off or licensed game said "give it to Platinum". Platinum was also keeping action games alive almost solo after a lot of big IP's went dormant.
It also had more budget and advertising from Squenix simply because Yoko Taro was friends with the Dragon Quest producer, who wanted to give the series a good shot at success for once.

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I really do like the Mcfarlane figure. I bought him last month and I'm pretty happy with it overall. While the articulation is pretty stuff and lacking, I doubt we'll get anything better unless some kind of miracle happens.

Unpopular opinion myself, old Doomguy was always a kind of boring design. He'd be completely forgettable on a visual level were it not for the awesome boxart. IIRC you almost never see him in the game itself anyway, being an FPS with no cutscenes and the only times you actually see him (outside of his face lmao) being if you die.
That McFarlane one looks not so bad aesthetically to be fair, shame the articulation is a dog's breakfast.
I'm personally annoyed the 2016 design is stuck with that awful rubbery thing from 3A(?) and nothing else. I actually liked 2016 more than Eternal.

I totally agree, but I guess that is kind of the charm if we are being honest. Nostalgia. I honestly like both designs, Classic DOOM Guy and 2016 DOOM Slayer. The only one I think is edgey overkill is the Eternal design. The shoulder cannon and blade makes him look like a knock off Predator. I would also kill for a classic or modern Resident Evil line of figures. That's never happening though.

I getcha 100%. I'm not even ragging on him honestly, and if the McFarlane one wasn't so poorly articulated I'd be tempted to get him.
On topic, even though I've fallen completely out of love with the game itself, a 1/18 line of the TF2 mercenaries would be cool. The designs are chunky enough you could probably work in decent articulation at the scale and it'd be perfect for fun diorama displays. I'd want them to have swappable heads though, they're emotive enough characters it'd be a real shame if they were stuck with blank stares.

Both of the Revol Mini Snakes are great looking, but I definitely prefer the MGS1 version. Honestly, I wish Revol Mini had continued. I also have their Sengoku Basara releases and they’re some of my favorite figures, period.

The SWV Ghost backed almost instantly and the line is in general much healthier than the Black Collection. The Amber collection died after five Raptor repaints while the Hammond Collection just got a 2ft tall Brachiosaurus and is about to get the Indominus Rex. 1:18 is better in general if you want vehicles, or monsters. But I do agree that the PAK is in a shitty scale.

I just got figuarts Alisa from God Eater who also wears stilleto thigh high boots. She stands surprisingly well by herself, giant weapon notwithstanding. The balance isn't incredible but, she can stand unassisted in any resting pose which I wasn't expecting.

Yeah. D-Arts as a whole was a shit show. There were a few figs that came out good, but a lot of them had major QC issues.

Great game, though it can be grindy. Play it, and don't be surprised if you find at least 5 armor sets you would have rather had figures of over the Ghost armor.

We've only had the Bring Arts for 1/12ish figs, there's also the PAK which is just big Bring Arts. It's not a great figure, especially at the price point. The best thing the 2.0 has going for it is the accessories. SHF and Buzz are only coming with the initial sword, BA 2.0 has that, the greatsword, a lance, and some of the fists. I've listed my BA to sell but if it doesn't move I don't mind holding on to it for the weapons.
