Sadly, it's the worst (ignoring combiners). I have many issues that I know people will say is nitpicking, but it's just dissapointing compared to Metroplex.

-Big head is just too big due to electronics.
-Many parts reused from Metroplex.
-While the loss of some features was expected, Fortress lost pretty much everything. It lost the guns, swords(Only available in a sdcc set, Japan release and for free on select international retailers, but not the united states), pop up blasters, and Spike/Fortress has no proper cockpit in ship mode.
-Base mode is awful other titans tried keeping them similar, but FM can't do anything close to his og city mode.
-Connection for the larger head to the body is poorly designed. They didn't use a strong, flexible plastic for all of it, so the connection on the neck will start having issues after several transformations (scorponok fixed this so it doesn't suffer from this problem).
-He was much more expensive than Metroplex, for what felt like less value.

You forgot that the electronics are also shit in the US version since Hasbro decided to remove any word that wasn't at something they could trademark so they didn't have to change the sound effects for Europe, so all he does is shout random words like "DECEPTICON" "AUTOBOT" "FORTRESS MAXIMUS!" and make lousy scratchy computer sounds.

Most of those are from that weird 2020~2021 period when even non-white ABS parts were yellowing for some reason. Siege Apeface's issue is that it uses a giant chunk of Nylon for the torso and white Nylon has never not yellowed.

Apeface has been my dude since I was a little kid. Got the original for Christmas when I was ten. My brother got Snapdragon too, back then we almost always got matching stuff to avoid jealousy. So to me the horrorcons were always like brothers, working together. I never went of the official profiles and just imagined them as more like any other G1 Decepticon. Ready to fight and hungry for power but also ready to run away the moment things looked bad.

He's not that bad to be honest. You have to disassembly his left shoulder and reverse 180 his shoulder joint so more details are on top and his arm won't flop.

I like him, played both games, sure he is SMALL, old deluxe was better but this one isn't as bad as certain reviewers made you think.

excellent, I got my thirdparty inferno gun. I can confirm it works a treat on classic inferno, though of course he holds it sideways unless the arm is completely outstretched and rotated. The bottom handle slides up between his fingers, so it holds steady

IMO the legacy is miles better than the masterpiece, but I fucking hate the MP. I got it when it released in Japan as I was in Tokyo at the time and I regret it to this day. It's the most obnoxious thing to transform in my collection and the paint isn't even strong enough and flakes like a motherfucker. Stay away from the toy.

Also, the Legacy toy looks way better in lion mode if you cut the upper teeth, not perfect but definitely not as goofy.

I head canon them as the Beavis and Butthead of the Decepticon army Scorponok's squad in particular.

In particular, they got exiled form Cybertron by Megatron for being fuck ups causing them to wander around the galaxy for several centuries until they stumbled upon Nebulon and saw Fortress Maximus and his crew landing on the planet seeking sanctuary and in a bid to get back in with the Decepticons, contacted Scorponok letting him know where Fort Max and crew are. And that as a result, Scorponok brought them back into the Decepticon fold but quickly remembered WHY Megatron exiled them due to them being fuck-ups.

Also, they like to bully the fuck out of Darkwng and Dreadwind because they are friends with their Nebulon partners.

With the Legacy leaks I was curious what other people were thinking and have been browsing etc, but anytime the topic of "Legacy Bumblebee getting retooled/redeco'd" comes up, her name is like, almost immediately one of the first that gets posted after Wasp. Not even Animated Cliffjumper gets mentioned as often.
Why? I mean, hey, TFA's got tons of great background character designs, I'd be down for any of them; but why is Glyph being singled out out of them all? I would've thought more people would have been mentioning Siren, since he at least actually GOT a significant story role in the Botcon Return of Blurr script reading. Ntm his art actually used Bee's earth-mode design anyway, instead of the cybertronian model.

Forgot to add, I also had to remove his feet flaps because they were scary tight, and added some shock oil inside the tube area and a bit on the area where it connects to the arm. It's much less scary after that.

Armada is so gay. Optimus and Jetfire are "life partners" and gattai all the time. Megatron is literally only happy when he's wrestling with Optimus; he gets sincerely depressed and sees no point in life when Optimus is temporarily killed. Megatron is bitter and irritable when Optimus isn't around, and abusive towards his angsty teen son. AND it's an anime.

Are they not into it because all of the gay in Armada is technically Old Man Yaoi? Like how straight guys are (I think?) the biggest fan demographic for Metal Gear Solid, despite it also being extremely homo?

That...has never been the case. Japanese are notoriously xenophobic and tent not to draw characters from that far away unless the character's ethnicity is a plot point. Most of the tanned characters I've seen in anime tend to be from areas in or around southern Japan - Okinawa, the Phillippines, Taiwan, and so on. They're hardly ever from much farther away than that, and when they are, they're usually given different facial features and mannerisms from the other characters. Starscream looking like Megatron, Bumblebee and Optimus, just darker, suggests that ethnically, she can't be from somewhere much farther than that.

Anyway, to return to topic, if you haven't tried "Kiki -- Fix Loose Joints" white goo, believe the hype. I've used floor polish, nail polish, super glue, etc and this works the best. I've seen some redditor explain how you can DIY a similar solution if you prefer, but I'm really pleased with the results

I won't speak for everyone but my family just had a basic cable package and I know we couldn't watch it, so I assumed others were in a similar boat but that might not be completely accurate depending on the area you lived in and what kind of cable access you had. But kinda like how alot of kids didn't see Transformers Prime as it aired because many didn't have The Hub channel because it was part of higher end packages.
