Nah, the Indy serts don't seem to be selling very well either. I mean only Lego knows the true data, but the sets being on sale doesn't bode well for them. There's only 3 sets too, 2 of them smaller sets but I've seen both the smaller ones full stock at my local stores for a while now. I honestly haven't bought them either, I'm waiting for them to go on sale especially the golden idol set.

It’s just a local open air flea market. I don’t search children’s play grounds. People would probably get kind of suspicious about that. I have found a piece or two walking through parks though.

How's everyone doing? What are you working on? Post a MOC!
I've recently thought about Speed Champions but in space so I came up with this rover for one of my factions.
Thinking more about it I guess it could be a way for LEGO to bring back a few "favorite" themes with a few tribute builds that tie in together nicely.

Finds worth keeping today. Fifteen real Lego and a bit of fakes, a rechargeable battery(hope it still charges), a coin, a pin, and a handful of these wobble dudes. Not shown is a wool hand weaved rug (on the wall it goes), and a pair of Vans. Not a bad day.

Definitely. One thing that is done right here is wool and cotton rug cleaning. I got several shops to choose from. I see these things on Etsy going for about 80 USD and up. If people here new what they had they wouldn’t be so quick to throw away baba’s old rugs.

Some faction specific artifacts.
The M-tron guy in the foreground has a newer version of grabber thing M-tron minifigs used to be sold with. They now have a carry crate as well. I know the offical sets used white very sparingly, but for small builds I think it helps to have the vehicles match the pilots. The exploriens guy has a handheld version the fossil scanned. Unfortunately this figure has a crack on his torso. I might have to apply some medicinal kragle.
There's a rocket on the launchpad with a satellite vaguely derrived from Ice Planet (sadly I'm out of neon orange). The other rocket is captured from Blacktron.
The fuel station is pretty straightforward, with a pay kiosk, rental tank, and some tools to work the pump with.

Mechanically I like the Ornithopter, the issue is that it's still pretty bare bones in terms of details. It just doesn't feel "chunky" enough or have enough "greebles" and it feels like they sacrificed those details for play function when this is an Icons set, meaning it's adult collector oriented to sit on a shelf / display.
The worst part though is that Lego uses those red technic connector pins, fucking hate seeing that shit it really hurts the overall appearance of the model.

Even the minifigures look underwhelming outside of the Baron, especially for Paul and Duncan. Also why the fuck are they including Kynes instead of Leto or fuck someone like Thufir?

As a huge DUNCfag this genuinely looks bad.
There are exposed technic holes and over a dozen (!) red technic pins visible that stick out like a sore thumb against the gray. The shaping is very off too, it's not smooth at all.

No joke looks like a prototype set, I'm disappointed. Figs are alright at least.

Yeah they still make the black ones. Pretty baffling that they used red there. Also they've made those half-pin half-axle pieces in black instead of blue before too. Though not since 2004 (technically it came in a Bionicle parts pack from 06 but that's not a set) and every other set with them was from 02. Picrel is the list of sets that have the black 2l axles.

maybe it's something to do with the type of plastic. the black pins are a harder, more brittle plastic, while the red ones are probably the softer kind. Either way it is distracting and the set looks like a prototype instead of a finished product.

The landing gear retracts with a simple gear meachanic.

The wings close up with a lever.

Another lever action makes the wings flap

Inside this think is ridiciliously overengineered.

The plastic is the same, the difference would be the dye. The way dye mixes with plastic is what made certain colors, dark red, brown, dark brown, so brittle. I suppose it's possible that the color would affect axles specifically which would explain the lack of color diversity. But in my opinion, if a piece can't be made in every color then it shouldn't be made at all.

I think the general mechanics are really cool and well done, the issue is it really impacts the aesthetics of what is supposed to be a display piece, as it's in Lego Icons. It just doesn't feel like a final product reveal but a prototype too which is a shame, I was excited for this but I'm gonna wait for it to be on sale.

Good choice for them to go with the ornithopter, because otherwise Dunc is the most visually bankrupt version of Dune to date and there's nothing else even remotely interesting to adapt. Unfortunately, the figures are pretty worthless for that same reason.

McFarlane lost the license awhile ago, and Lego have been making been making a lot of licenced themes based on video games recently. And don't give me crap about ratings, Lego have made sets based on PG-13 movie and T rated games before.

Using all the spare parts I had, I made a Kame House from Dragon Ball. I would have loved to make the house pink, but I have no pink parts really and I'm not even sure if they MAKE all the parts I wanted to use in that color. As is, I substituted with red, but even then ran out of the color fron what I had available.

Still, very fun. I would love a real proper micro set like the skylines did, giving us Kame House, the Lookout, King Kia's planet, World Martial Arts Tournament and such.

Alternatively, I'd love a proper scaled set of Kame House island.

Sometimes the points of articulation can be a little too tight or a little too loose. The pieces will only feel cheap if you have never handled real lego before. But i have had real lego made in china that also feels cheap. The big upsides are the huge variety of figures the low cost and they they look great. Some of the unique molds are amazing. I wish they made more aot figures. It's just those 8 plus these ones which i don't own

I'm a bit torn between which EMA + Levi I like more. I lean towards the first pic since the hair looks way better. But on your second pic, the graphical style has a better anime feel and the green capes are a plus.

The main thing I remember about the show is that it gave all the characters different outfits on each day of the weekend which was pretty cool given that every single other cartoon just has the characters wear the same outfit every single day.

Closer to 2 and a half years but yes. Times flies when you are coping. Even now Isayama is still trying to do damage control with a part two to his already extended last chapter. Honestly how AOT turned out was probably for the best, Its what got me into anime and its ending is what stopped me watching it. The japs can come up with great original ideas but when it comes to endings they always shit the bed.

The last time I went I pocketed some 4 muskets and axes. I could probably have stolen more but it was my first misdemeanor in a while.
I would steal the minifig bags in the stores too, at around series 9-14, when they were still interesting. I could pocket some more, but the newer ones are uninteresting

Need more info to know if I should feel sorry for you. Are you working? How much Lego did you buy and at what dollar rate? Do you currently have any excess you can resell or are you autistic about letting things go? My kneejerk suggestions: 1) get a job, 2) only buy Lego if you can handle lowballing and have the discipline to walk away if it isn't an outright cosmic deal, and 3) sell anything you know you won't use.

I won't learn too hard into this because I know it's 4chan and most of you are softcore dumb, but buying Lego in a way that pays for itself is literally the most accessible collector's hobby on planet earth. People that can't manage that either don't know, don't care, or have lead in their diet.

Was it printing and gluing or something else? One of my biggest beginner mistakes was trying to make a sort of "apron" that went over the torso print as to not use glue but it peels off badly and is complicated to allign.

So I go to some mega store today and in the toy section all I see are cobi and other knock-off brands, but the bargain section has some old Lego sets tossed in with other toys that have damaged packing. One VIDIYO set is opened and marked down. Gay unicorn, no wonder. But at the bottom of bin are bags and loose pieces from other Lego sets. I look around trying my best to appear confused. Just a show for the security cameras. Then start carefully packing as much into the open VIDIYO box as I can. Find two Lego book pieces. Confused looks again and just drop them in my shopping bag. Rearrange all boxes in bin from biggest to smallest as to appear autistic to anyone who may be watching. Go to pay for my one box. Checkout could care less. The place is crowded and busy with candy and costume shoppers. Happy Halloween /lg/.

I do have a job, I was using the plasma money to fuel my hobbies. Thankfully there are local bins I would go through that would sell lego by the sandwich bag for $5, or gallon bags for $20.
I will have to say i am autistic about letting stuff go. I've collected gallons of pieces for specific builds, so getting rid of any of it would feel like I won't be able to use them in a future build... fuck I could start a bricklink store.

In the construction I used other sets from the classic castle period, i.e. 6040 , 6067 elements and 6061 . So there is an inn here (slightly expanded, enlarged and with a moved wall), a blacksmith and a single wall from 6061. Apart from that, I didn't use any other prefabs, and everything was based on my own idea.

The whole depicts a small stronghold, an advanced outpost placed on a rocky base, clearly raised above the level. The structure has a rectangular shape and is surrounded on all sides by a larger or smaller wall. It has four levels, from fragmentarily outlined underground parts (or rather carved into the rock), through the courtyard level, the surrounding walls and the middle level of the tower, to the tower's observation nest. There is one entrance to the building, through a gate and a drawbridge, part of set 6081. Inside there are three buildings and an outline of the castle. The outline of the castle is, of course, 6081, and the buildings include, apart from the inn, a stable with a usable part of the attic and a detached building. Below you can see a small observation balcony on the base level, which opens to show the underground area, specifically a small pantry. As I mentioned, we have a detainee here, or actually two of them. One is already in the cell and the other is being led there. The entire facility belongs to the eternal enemies of the black falcons, i.e. the knights of the Lion King. Two classic factions in Lego castle. :)

Since it is a military facility, you can see several soldiers, including archers, on the walls. Knights visible at the gate, on the tower and on every side of the walls. Archers equipped with crossbows and bows are located on the castle tower, the lower tower at the inn and on the walls. It is worth noting that not everyone is devoted to work and guarding, because two men are enjoying drinks on the middle level of the tower. ;) I will add here that thanks to small modifications, the tower is connected to the entire level intended for guards. So you can walk around from the balcony above the entrance to the wall above the house with a red roof.

Lol this is how I played with lego when I was like 12. Made a whole group of terrorists with turbans and fake brickarms and had a squad of operators that would kill them.

Fucking hopefully.
Really surprised they didn't at least do an Imperial Army battlepack or something, given they played a pretty prominent role in the heist arc.
Maybe next season as we get more into the Rebellion.

Also, kinda surprising they didn't do something with B2EMO given they've done minifig scale versions and large buildable versions of every other "important droid" from other series and B2 is better then pretty much ever other droid from NuStar Wars.
