imagine if Lego decided to make sets about classical children's literature, not from adaptations but directly from the books, they made one like that in the tribute to Charles dickens , but it was just clip set from his works, im talking about full sets, like I can imagine an Alm uncle house set from Heidi with some alpine terrane around it, and maybe we'll get a new goat piece for Schwanli, and Baerli, for the secret garden of course the garden but also a part of the mansion, probably Merry’s room, for the railway children the train station as well as the train, for nobody's boy you could have Vitalis caravan as well as a new monkey Mold for Joli-Coeur, and of course a set for the Green Gables house in Anne. it will be nice for Lego to focus on more traditional, folk, and colorful type of fiction rather than the modern, empty, and Gray brands of Disney and Universal today

Mainly because I'm not 6 years old
Sometimes we forget that LEGO is a toy company and although they release sets for AFOLS, the city line is mainly for kids

Stupid question, but anyone have a list of minifigs or minifig parts that fit Halloween builds, but aren't explicitly in Halloween or horror sets? Stuff like the Bone Spirits for example.

There are so many minifig parts now that would be useful for various genres, like medieval mocs or sci fi mocs.

I don't know how to really find these parts besides searching through bricklink lists for pieces in the color you want or keywords

This anon >>10744133 is correct in that Lego would not do sets or themes directly based on the old tales partially out of the lack of sex-based diversity in them. Best you could hope for would be a modern reincarnation retelling with a genderswap or two like they did for Monkie Kid.

What's everyone's thoughts on LEGO phasing out articulated characters? Soon even minifigures will just be unarticulated statues, at least the fat midgets in NEXO KNIGHTS had moveable arm, these little pooftas can't do shit but turn their heads, and for what? Man, I just realized that PaB wasn't a build-your-own-minifig style place in local stores that didn't exist in my country. Only now do I realize that it is part of the online store. Kinda stupid on my part.

But holy shit this thing is amazing! Are you reallly telling me I can buy 50 torsos of the imperial soldiers from the new El Dorado for less than a dollar each? This feels almost too good to be true.
What other torsos that are in PaB do you guys think would to for good 17th-19th century line infantry uniforms? I was hoping they had the black Firefighters uniform from the Christmas set, but it seems that not all pieces are available.

the galaxy explorer is on sale too but only $20 off.
I picked up 3 of them last year from wal mart at $50 and they still have tons of them in stock...

Supposedly there's 200+ sets on sale but these are the only important ones.

i lost this piece ages ago, and it always pissed me off because he was my favorite minifig when I was a kid. A few years ago I got a replacement on bricklink for $50 and I thought it was so expensive at the time, but turns out it's worth like $150+ now, and the figure itself is worth like $300-400 if it's in good condition.

If this is true, it's great for people who have been waiting. Personally I bought it for the full $400 price last year, but I did get double VIP points at least.
I love the set and the design is god-like, but $400 was too much. I don't regret my purchase though because that's how good it is. I think at $300 you're getting a very reasonable deal.

Why is it that the term Classic Castle refers to the original Lego Castle run as well as numerous themes from the 80s and 90s, while the term Classic Space only refers to the original space theme and not other themes like Futuron that were in the 'classic' era?

The primary reason this is wrong and a really bad idea is that the original three themes (Castle, Town, Space,) had an inherent continuity of being the past, present, and future of the Lego universe. Its not even redesigning, its more prevelant with nulego, almost every new release got this weird/cheap parts, almost like lego knew ppl will pay more to corrent the design.
I guess its ok to accept it, you still buy plastic crack in the first place, but being stoked for it is a bit to much. Releases like this should be perfect, you pay extra for 18+ and dune label respectivly.
You still want to buy it? Good for you, but dont write that modding it out of the box is normal stuff. You are proably better (and cheaper) with designing and ordering the parts for your own moc, ofc minus the ugly tm figures, but who cares for them, right?

despite the promise that winners of each series will be selected based on originality and in a way that it would represent various interests of the fanbase, its mostly just city and castle themes that win.

I like displayable cars, shapeship and space themes and out of the 3 series not a single one of those great submissions I voted for won.

I agree, since it looks dark grey in the New Alexandria mission; although it's got a sand green colour in multiplayer, so it also makes sense why he went with that
I also think he opted for sand green since there are a lot more pieces available vs olive green - I wish Lego would've given more attention to OG instead of ignoring it, such a useful colour and far better than a lot of the shit they pump out in random colours nowadays

These are the other two that leaked. There is supposedly a 80052 which hasn't been seen and it was the only one that wasn't named in the original names and numbers leak, so either it's a 4 set wave and 80052 was shelved or it's the GWP, or there's one more set to come.

The Vehicle Creations set is pretty nice, a solid evolution on the concept seen Staff Creations 5+ set.

I basically just scooped all the retiring Monkie Kid sets and the remaining Ninjago stuff. I really like the color choices and designs for MK stuff, it's just a shame its now a Lego site exclusive theme. No discounts outside of these sales.

Unitron.

Exploriens has really shitty, unstable builds.
roboforce is pretty forgettable and lame honestly, I only ever had 1 or 2 of those kits.
Spyrius is cool and I love the builds but Unitron is just more iconic to me.
Unitron despite such limited kits has the best of them all. The monorail is still fucking kino. The Star Hawk II might just be my absolute favorite space ship Lego did in the 90s. The other 2 sets aren't very good but they're still very soulful.

You forgot UFO though which itself I would consider the second best of those themes from the 90s. The space ships were fucking fantastic especially the warp wing fighter and interstellar starfighter.

So many design fails in this set. The Train looks great, but the minifig builds are all over the place with quality.
Studs on beds dont allow minifigs to lie propperly, the bar stools are too high, and it seems figures cant sit on the tables in the dining room(even Lego original box picture is modified to sit figures) and one stud of space in the cabin???????
Why is the point of making something "minifig scaled", if it's not????

There's a Lego Digimon called ToyAgumon. It even had one of those Lego eyes in Digimon World but they changed it to a more Digimon looking eye.

I got nya’s samurai mech from Lego for about $72. I also got the snow trooper and Ashoka clone packs for about $15 each from target and Meijer, and got the slave one for $32 and a tie fighter for $34 or so, and the spider tank for $40. I normally don’t get Star Wars stuff, but I liked some of these builds and always wanted a slave one
