Lego has been good about Lego Sonic and basing it the vehicles of the Sonic franchise. They could have used the part budget to build a big brick built Chaos if they wanted a mech. Do you remember a giant Knuckles mech being part of Sonic?

I can't believe Space is a fucking modifier. Get ready for City Space rebooted, Technic Space, and probably Friends Space. This white/copper look is what you're going to get for two years minimum because lmao pipeline. The copper color is new: 402 Reddish Orange. There's going to be cross-theme modularity across Space sets, based on seeing the same dock point shape on the Heavy Cargo ship, Loader, and Modular Space Station that leaked; pic. Lego Space is not back like you remember it kids.

To me pokemon is something that's only cool when it's a complete roster which is just not doable with the amount of unique moulds that would require. It's tiresome that 2 out of the 4 minifigures are once again women, this time complete with dyke hairpieces. But the cars are nice, especially the BMW set. Mustang is a bit bland but Lego as a medium works best with more outlandish designs that the designers get to go crazy with.
There's a new 2x2 curved alope piece on the front and spoiler of Audi, it seems.
The most creative years of the theme have sailed by, but these are still nice enough to buy at a discount.

You can do play value AND representation. The first wave had the Tornado and the Death Egg Mech, and I'm sure kids enjoy vehicles and mechs while referencing something from the games. Hell, this wave had yet another Lego staple in an oversized motorcycle, based on Shadow's bike from Sonic and Sega All-stars Racing. You can make something enjoyable to kids while still being from the source material. Sonic isn't like Lego DC and Marvel and give oversized vehicles to characters to that don't even need them. Why does starving collage student Peter Parker need a jet plane? Why does Thor need a mech? At least it makes sense for Bruce Wayne to own several Batmobiles and other vehicles with the Bat- prefix slapped in front of them.

Depends on how far the thing is. The deku tree wasn't greenlighted as a product along Barad-Dur etc. they were just shown to focus groups to test if they should become products, But as the lotr tower is now a set so would had likely become the Deku tree as well.

It's based on Hagrid's hut from the first film. The more expansive house and the pumpkin patch are from the reimagining in the third film, also where they switched from all school uniforms to the kids wearing their own clothes hence also the different minifigs

On topic of pokemon and mega bloks, I recently got the xbox 360. Holy shit is it good. All printed too, the front and back of the box prints change the Spartans to megabloks, its a great set. If megabloks can do quality prints I don't see how lego keep using stickers & when they do printed they can't even align stripes right on a £260 train set

is the only cool one. When I was a kid, I got a lot of the castle/medieval type stuff this weird gold thing sort of resembles a pretty good base for a faction. The rest of dreamzzz in general is too all over the place. If my recollection of my childhood logic is grounded in reality than I think kids go for lego sets not because they are the perfect set but more because it checks enough boxes in their own imaginations to help facilitate whatever world they are trying to creat while they play.

The castle looks neat, yeah. I just don't have a lot of interest in it. I do think that marketing to kids like that is weird, because while there are some standards you can appeal to (kids like robots, dragons, etc.), a lot of kids may also pick things that they specifically like, or something that they specifically want to imagine, so it'd be harder to actually market to them specifically.
