Mewtwo Selects is pretty nice. I fiddled with his body to see if I could increase forward crunch range. Nothin really worked too well. What worked out great was simply spinning the midsection around. Front and back both look near identical and it bends further in the back end. The neck and head tube is annoying if you want him looking straight up so just pop it out of the head. Not sure if there's really a better way they could have done it.

Don't even attempt to compete with Target's pricing for the Select line. They have sales all the time, and clearance things like 2 months after they are out. Wouldn't be surprised with Ttar and Suicune get permanently clearanced right after Xmas since they have never had 4 different figs in stock at the same time before.

I bought the suicune and mewtwo today at target, they have a 20% off on pokemon figures deal (and but one get one 50% off for nintendo figures, so i got a tanuki mario and a piranha plant). Thanks for these threads anons, once in a while I'll but myself pokemon figures that I see here and they really bring me a pure, childlike joy since i could never afford to just buy new toys as a kid (only got stuff from yard sales).

How do you keep up with releases? What are some upcoming ones? Last one I got was rayquaza, and it was a great surprise to find out he glows under blacklight.

Not really any good sites. Basically just check here occasionally. But the Nintendo Merch discord is better. People post all the new things, upcoming leaks, and when items are found in what stores.

The person who makes these >>10759066 posters is keeping track of all releases too. They are in order of release too.

Next 2/3" wave is the Butterfree/Primeape/Weavile wave. Supposedly Decidueye and Entei are the next Selects but no confirmation yet. Recent leaks include Wooper, Poliwhirl, Zangoose, 4" Tyranitar, Fidough, Flapple, Skorupi, Hoothoot, Joltik, Tinkatink, Ralts, Litleo, and more Pikachu and Kanto starter sculpts.

No chance. That type of overlap for figure slots is something they already considered when picking what went where. The epic battle Lugia is what they intended for you to use with those Select birds.

There are a few overlaps with the Selects (a non-scaled line) and the other parts of the 'scaled' lines, but those are usually reserved for the really popular pokemon. Charizard, Mewtwo, Lucario, Greninja, Garchomp and now Tyranitar with the upcoming 4" one

But re-doing Lugia as a Select makes no sense. The Epic is already the same size as the Select birds.

I'm a little limited on finances, but I want to buy one Pokemon Select figure while they're available. there is nothing worse than missing a chance and then trying to buy in Europe with 20-30 euros for delivery.

Anyone's guess. All the four out right now (Those, Suicune and Raikou) are only $16 at Target. Unlikely they'll get much cheaper so you may as well get both if you can.

My guess is that Mewtwo and Raikou were ordered in smaller numbers than the rest though. Those two are the only ones that ever 'pre-sold out' when they were up for pre order before being in stock. I think Target is trying to avoid having too many left over that need to be clearanced.

I think a Select Ho-oh may be more likely. Ho-oh is supopsed to be smaller than Lugia and the Select birds and Lugia are virtually the sam size as it is. With only one Epic figure each year, it seems silly to use the spot for Ho-oh when the Select would be the exact same size.

in in Europe. all Pokemon Select figures are 30+ euros.
But if you are lucky to get them here.
If not - you will have to buy these for 40 for a figure + 20-30-40 (depending on where those are) for shipping.
So i was thinking of getting the most rare and possibly expensive in the future. Otherwise if i will miss the window-there is no way im spending almost 100 euros for pokemon select.

European and US distribution is completely different. In EU you guys actually get older figures in each new wave like the back of the boxes show. In the US after the very first release of the figure, it's never released again. We only get the new figures in each wave. You guys have it far easier when trying to pick up older Select figures. You also have regional stores that are able to order older figures/waves directly from distributors. I don't really think there's a 'window' that you'll miss any figure.

We basically have everything right now and with insane (by eu-standarts lol) discounts. From Mewtwo and Charizard to Garchomp and Raikou.

I already missed the opportunity to get the Zapdos and my only option is Ebay (or travelling around europe and searching for him lol).

How were you able to buy the single packs and 3 packs??? They are street dated for the 23rd (aside from Alolan Marowack and Monferno which were dated for the 23rd but released on the 7th which was the original date that the rest of them had) and the 3 packs are dated for Jan 2nd! They had to make Slowpoke very small due to the width (shoulder to shoulder) I think. It's much smaller compared to the 2" figs than I wish it was.

if your in europe most cardshops, amazon, big toystores that carry selects generally have the birds instock. i do know articunos been starting to sell out here though.

if your in the US, it seems they barely/never get the other figures on the back of the box, only the newest. though people mentioned a store got charizard and rayquazas again so maybe the birds will show up again rarely since maybe first 3 waves can be sold by other shops since their pre-target exclusive

it's just a huge white chunk of a meat with big hands.
Lugia looks cool in action/game/cartoon/pokemon cards but as a BIGtoy it always looks dull

Its smaller than some of their 3" figures. It's horrible. Hardly any of those 4.5" figures are any good. The 3", 6", and Epics are the only ones really worth the price

Wal-Mart has those aisle displayers out and I saw some new 2-packs including this. I noticed the "shiny" Pikachu in one...wasn't sure if it's a chase variant or something?

I wanted the pack with Goomy, but good lord the black lining was really awful around the mouth.

yeah i almost bought that Charmeleon pack but damn... the figure was so awful (i mean the quality. it was looking weird)
it's basically a statue. why it's so difficult to mold something like that in good quality

People have been finding these and posting in the discord for a couple weeks now. A ton of hose packs have errors of all sorts. Pearly Pikachu's from the calendar sets packed in by mistake, tons of paint errors, even many with the Halloween cards instead of the correct holiday ones. Quality control has been super bad on those for whatever reason.

None. You'll have to download and print a 3d file. Since it doesn't need articulation, just buy one of the files the many people doing Pokemon sculpts have for sale, and either print and paint yourself or have someone do it.

Haven't bought any WCT Pokemon in a long time, but found this chonky boi for 8 bucks on local facebook marketplace and couldn't pass that up.

Limited articulation as expected but really nice sculpt and weight to him.

Feel like picking up some more epic-sized ones. I already have Gyarados (really like it) Was thinking of Dragonite or Lugia. Dragonite looks kinda basic with few points of articulation. Suggestions?

Pretty much what anon above said. But if you like the Epics, you should get some of the 6" ones. Charizard, the birds, Dragapult, Rayquaza, Tyranitar are all good or decent. Others are more limited with articulation. Avoid Lucario and Greninja though.

They're the most out of scale by a huge margin and they are just designed badly. Greninja's flimsy little joints don't support his body. It needs the base to stand up since the feet are useless, thigh swivels loose, tongue too heavy to support itself and droops down. Just an awful figure. Lucario doesn't have as many problems aside from the scale, but the legs are not done well. Lower leg joints needed ankle pivots to work good enough. Lucario is the tallest figure in the entire 6" line btw.

I'd tend to agree. It's got the right size compared to Figma and other Jazwares figures, but the joints in the legs are also bad. They really need to figure out how to articulate the legs of lankier, agile bipedal Pokemon better. They've fucked Lucario and Mewtwo over in that department. It's shocking they can't seem to understand how to do it properly.

Mewtwo is fine he's around the same height as Tyranitar by the dex at 2m. Lucario would look way too big if you care about scale though, it should be shorter than the kid/teen height protagonist in the games.

PSA for those buying epic Metagross.
Its able to acieve much better articulation if you remove this thing from its front legs.

another case of weird limitations but the mod seems simple enough.

I think, but haven't tried, that current Jazwares Alakazam arms had also been done with articulation in mind but were glued in the last step for licence or some legal step in aproval, something alike "ensure that a battle action figure licence must not present free range articulation and only 6" should", Somebody with a spare copy should try to break that for cience.

I don't think that's the reason cause even the 6" figures have stop measures in place. Maybe they just thought the feature worked better if there was no arm articulation.

Impossible to do. Things like hands, heads, biceps, thighs, etc can rotate fully 360degrees.

This last one seems like it's a Jazwares thing. They're the ones showing they really aren't skilled at engineering good articulation.

What are you trying to say? Jaz and Shodo are two completely different companies, distributing in different regions, with product of a different type (figure vs model kit)
