In 2022, they reversed that decision and went back to the way things were before, but that coincided with them driving the rest of Thomas into the ground by releasing a new show that abandons the traditional model storybook format for cartoony crap and screwing up the faces of all the trains. There were no new Wooden Railway releases for 2023, and in 2024 they're only putting out party repaints of Thomas, Percy, Gordon, and James that may be event exclusive for all I know. Thomas Minis has been significantly downsized since 2022 as well, only focusing on one smaller blind bag series per year and the advent calendar. I'm honestly starting to worry that the Thomas brand may be discontinued within the next few years, especially considering Mattel is bringing Barney back from extinction.
>>10775888Up until a few years ago those stores were the only place you could find Thomas wooden trains, but then again, at this point with the state of the line you wouldn't find much that's not at the big stores. If you're lucky, you may find some Wood and mayyybe late 2016 Wooden Railway leftovers.
