He stopped making customs after people started making fun of them like his Fisher Price Venom and some clients were just selling off the figures a couple of months after getting them
At some point he stopped doing customs entirely to focus on sculpting for his action figure line but that shit's never getting off the ground at this rate. He had one Kickstarter, I believe, not sure how it turned out, then some years ago he had prototypes ready and showed them off but said he would crowdfund when it was the right time and he was ready and that's it. Nothing since.
To be a little fair to him, he made a second attempt at this Venom design and it turned out a little better but eh

The last time he updated his social media pages for Rival Collectibles was 2020. I think he has a few videos on his prototypes that are more recent than that but like anon said, they're pretty mid figures. They just seem like Mortal Kombat rejects in Marvel Legends form. He posted a pic saying "For anyone worried about articulation" but the pose wasn't too much better than what some MLs have been pulling off for a while now
A guy commented on this saying it's impressive but IMO it doesn't seem like anything special...

So who's a good figure reviewer?
I fear that the combination of collecting figures and wanting to be a YouTuber attracts the worst kind of people. I haven't found a reviewer yet who I thoroughly enjoy. Most are alright during the first few videos and then I start to notice what's weird about them.

If it makes it look better to you, then it looks better to you. If you aren't going to sell it it doesnt matter what anyone else thinks. Only problem is if you screw up the custom or the paint degrades over time.

The issue is that they're trying to build an online persona. If someone keeps showing their face it's a sign the video is actually about them above anything else. This is true for all subjects or hobbies.

This is not necessarily a bad thing but always keep in mind that when they're showing their face, the action figure is just there as a prop.

I remember this game review channel from back in the day: GamingMill. He had a meta approach, he would show bad aspects of the game while struggling to put a positive spin on them. Always at the verge of rage-quitting. But when the review was over he would always say: "Great game, 9/10."

This is what Anthony Customs needs to become. He should have a 15 min hate-filled rant shitting on the figure then when it's done: "Overall great figure, 9/10".

He really needs to justify why he gives storm and neca better scores. Only thing I can think of is that he just doesn't value articulation that highly at all, due to it not being essential to a collectible and so paint and sculpt are worth far more to him

That's probably it. He's always making excuses for why articulated figures have shit articulation. He's also always complaining about butterfly joints being functionally useless and toe hinges being bad. And he doesn't pose figures that well, either.

If you look at the Mai that Anthony reviewed it had some glaring flaws. Figuarts is all over the place, although their crabcrotches are the bigges turn offs. But they have had some botches in articulation like the two Berserk figures they put out recently.
