With Playmates canceling their Star Trek action figure line yet again and Super7 having no more updates on their TNG line, Star Trek has failed in the toys department yet again. Why does Star Trek not sell? Is there just not a big enough fanbase? I would’ve assumed it had enough dedicated collectors to stay afloat even if children don’t care about the property. Seems like Star Trek collectors just care about the ships and roleplay items as that’s all that Playmates is going to keep doing. It’s a shame really as the only company doing figures is Exo-6, but they’re 1/6 scale and expensive.
